2 EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Queenland Rugby Union (QRU) is one of the largest sports governing bodies in Australia with more that 350,000+ participants and members The QRU is seeking precinct partners to realise its vision of delivering a world class community recreation, education, high performance and stadium precinct at Queensland s renowned Ballymore precinct.

3 PARTNERSHIP OBJECTIVES RECREATION SPORTS HEALTH, EDUCATION & ADMINISTRATION STADIUM & FIELDS HIGH PERFORMANCE COMMUNITY Establish Ballymore as the premier destination in South East Queensland for outdoor recreation, high quality leisure and fitness activities and short term accommodation facilities. World leading sports health, education, administration and research hub in partnership with universities, government and the private sector. Boutique, easily accessible, inner city stadium and fields optimised via year round activation by Rugby and other rectangular grass sports, non-sporting events and community use. World leading elite Rugby training and recovery facilities that also attracts other national and international users, including other sporting codes. Increased utilisation via the creation of optimal community Rugby facilities, programmes and activities to promote greater Rugby participation across Queensland.

4 An Iconic Destination Ballymore is a name synonymous with Rugby Union, an iconic name around the world, like Twickenham, Eden Park and Murrayfield. Queensland Rugby Union, as a governing body for Rugby in Queensland, has a vision to ensure that Ballymore transitions from an iconic and historic stadium to a world class precinct /2016 The QRU set up headquarters at Ballymore. The ground is officially opened with an A-grade match between Wests v Teachers followed by Brothers v University. The first interstate matches between Queensland and New South Wales and Victoria are held at Ballymore. The McLean stand is opened (named in 1980) by the then Governer Sir Alan Mansfield and celebrated with a double header of Wests v GPS and Brothers v University The QRU is granted the land in perpetuity by the State Government under a Deed of Grant in Trust The Eastern Stand is opened 26,000 people watched the Wallabies play South Africa - exceeding ground capacity First match is played under lights The Reds move to Suncorp Stadium however Ballymore remains the training ground for the Reds and is used for hundreds of games during the year, from Queensland Premier Rugby finals to the Junior State Championships grand finals. Development Approval & extension granted for the development of the Ballymore Precinct
