The property s contemporary interior, by Chris Connell is from the team who brought you Carousel on Albert Park Lake. Under the creative direction of Asaf Smoli, Leigh Worcester and John van Haandel, food&desire is one of Melbourne s most renowned caterers. With panoramic views of St Kilda pier and remarkable sunsets, the Harbour Room is ideal for meetings, cocktail celebrations, lunches, dinner dances and conferences with a difference. Distinctive designs and unique furnishings and fittings replace the royal tradition, transforming the interior into a stylish and modern space. The balcony offers a superb area for pre drinks while the distinguished onyx marble bar and fireplace contribute to this iconic waterfront venue. Just add food&desire. In order to achieve and maintain our reputation as market leaders, food&desire provides the highest quality food, wine and service. The food style is creative, responding to client s needs by tailoring and designing menus according to the event brief. Our focus is to create celebrations, bring people together, facilitate milestones, and create great hosts. food&desire also operates Carousel on Albert Park Lake, is one of the preferred caterers at State Library of Victoria and other venues across Melbourne, while also catering at private residences.

5 Event management. food&desire offers an Event Management service that extends beyond our food & beverage service. Our Event Sales team will assist you in the planning and liaising of all logistical matters such as lighting, sound, decorations & hiring. We would require direct liaison with relevant subcontractors and yourselves to ensure the successful co-ordination of all aspects for this event. Menu tastings. A menu tasting can be arranged for seated events. A charge of $ per person applies, based on tasting one entrée, one main course and one dessert of your choosing. Tastings are held at the venue on Friday and Saturday afternoons at 3pm or 4pm. Please speak with your Event Sales Executive for further details or to arrange a time for your tasting. Linen. Harbour Room provides white table linen and napkins. We can provide coloured, satin linen, table runners and designs to suit your event. Specific quotations obtained will depend on your final numbers and table plan. Decorations. Event themes & centrepieces can be arranged directly with food&desire. We can discuss your creative ideas and floral concepts in greater details and specific quotations arranged.
6 Stage. Stage can be arranged with the Event Sales team, stage costs vary from $ to $1, inclusive of GST and delivery based on size. Security. A Commissionaire is required for your event at The Harbour Room. The Commissionaire is required for security purposes, they arrive half an hour prior to your guest s arrival and half an hour, past your guest s departure time. Please allow $55.00 per hour. Audio-visual. Harbour Room provides in house PA system with CD player, ipod connection, lectern with two microphones, three rigging bars, internet access and three phase power. Durham AV is the appointed in-house audio-visual supplier at Harbour Room. Should you have any audio-visual requirements, we would be delighted to discuss this with our representative and include a tailored quotation with our proposal. Alternatively, you may prefer to speak directly with our representative regarding your particular needs. Please let us know if you would like to arrange for someone to contact you or feel free to contact our account manager Dino Trentin directly on Should you wish to use the services of an alternative audio-visual supplier, technician on duty fees may apply. Please allow $82.50 per hour, minimum three hours, to oversee an extensive bump in, event show and/or bump out. 7 Confirmation. Interim payment due 90 days prior to the event, 40% of the minimum food & beverage cost is payable. Pre payment is required seven working days prior to your event.
