2 1 Trade shows with Food South Australia Participating in international trade shows gives you the opportunity to talk directly to potential buyers and customers and to evaluate competitors and their products. Food South Australia, with the support of the Government of South Australia, assists South Australian food and beverage businesses to participate in a number of key trade shows each year. In 2019, we will be facilitating stands at: FOODEX - Japan, 5-8 March HOFEX - Hong Kong, 7-10 May SIAL China - Shanghai, May Fine Food Sydney, 9-12 September Major international trade shows generally attract visitors from around the world, not just the market the show is being held. It gives you the chance to showcase your products to a wide variety of retailers, enabling you to spread your business and your business risk across more than one market. Funding support Funding support to participate in a trade show or for related activities may be available through state and federally funded grant programs such as: Export Market Development Grants scheme (EMDG) This program, delivered by Austrade, is designed to assist small and medium sized Australian businesses to develop export markets and may reimburse up to 50% of your eligible export promotion expenses above $5,000, provided total expenses are a minimum of $15,000. Applicants can apply for up to eight grants through this program. Find out more at South Australian Export Accelerator Program This program is delivered by the South Australian Department for Trade, Tourism and Investment, and provides funding assistance for small and medium sized businesses to grow in international markets and create jobs. Prices shown are exclusive of GST/VAT or similar applicable taxes. 2. Bookings are not considered to be confirmed until the agreed deposit has been received and processed by Food South Australia. Food South Australia reserves the right to resell the space if the deposit is not paid or the balance is not paid in full by the relevant due date. 3. Deposits are not refundable if the cancellation is less than 90 days prior to the trade show, unless Food South Australia is able to resell the space. Administration charges may apply. Refunds for any remaining balance are at the discretion of Food South Australia. 4. Refunds for cancellations more than 90 days prior to the trade show may incur administrative fees. Payments 1. Payment up to $1000 is by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) only. Payments over $1000 may be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or invoice. 2. Outstanding balances must be paid in full by no later than 90 days prior to the trade show unless Food South Australia confirms an alternative payment schedule in writing. 3. Once issued, invoices must be paid in full 14 days from the issue of the invoice unless Food South Australia confirms an alternative payment schedule in writing. 4. Failure to pay all related invoices issued prior to the event in full prior to any trade show may result in your booking being terminated.
