4 Day 1 - Hanoi Arrive Hanoi airport via flight TBA You will be welcomed at the Hanoi Airport and escorted to the waiting bus. The journey from the airport to your hotel will take approximately one hour and is an entertaining experience full of chaotic traffic, hectic architecture and overloaded motorbikes. Hotel: Viet View hotel Inclusions: Airport transfer Hanoi Pick up time: TBA Your day today is free to explore the labyrinth of streets in the Old Quarter, where each of the 36 streets is named after a product once sold exclusively in that street 100 years.

5 Day 2 - Hanoi City Tour - Your Hanoi city tour begins with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum to pay respects to Uncle Ho and learn about his incredible life. Please note that all visitors to the mausoleum are required to wear clothes covering knees and shoulders. This applies to both men and women. Options - You can then choose two of the following; Temple of Literature, Fine Arts Museum, Hoa Lo prison or the Military Museum. Lunch - Then you will enjoy a delicious lunch at KOTO restaurant, an Australian-Vietnamese charity for underprivileged youth in Vietnam Free time - Your afternoon and evening is free at your leisure to explore the city. 6 MAI CHAU

7 Day 3 - Mai Chau Depart - At 8.00am after breakfast and check out we begin the bus journey to Mai Chau, a 4.5 hour journey with stops along the way. The scenery is wonderful as the road takes you over a stunning mountain pass and down into the rice paddy valley to the village of Mai Chau. Arrival - At 12.30pm you will be welcomed to the beautiful Thai stilt house homestay. Everyone will have electricity, squat toilets and basic bathing area (no hot water). You will share a large room with the other schoolies and be provided with fresh sheets, blankets, pillows and mosquito nets. Lunch - Then it is time for a delicious home cooked lunch prepared by the family. Building Project - In the afternoon you will be transferred to the project site where you will meet the local family who you will help to repair and build-up their home construction. You will get to know more about their local life and discuss the plans for the next day. Dinner - Back at the homestay you will divide into smaller groups to join with the local women in the village to learn to make some traditional Thai food. Then you can enjoy your dinner together and relax and enjoy the peaceful country lifestyle in this rural village. Inclusions: Transport, leader & guide, building project, lunch & dinner.

8 Day 4 - Mai Chau After breakfast you will be transferred to the project site, about 15 minutes from your homestay. Over the next days you can expect your tasks to include light construction, digging, carrying supplies, mixing cement and brick work. Lunch will be served at the project site and then it is back to it in the afternoon. At 4.30pm it is down tools and time to return to the guest house for showers, dinner and relaxing or exploring the village some more Inclusions: Transport, leader & guide, building project, breakfast, lunch & dinner.

9 Day 5 - Mai Chau Day 6 - Hanoi After breakfast it is back to the building site for a morning of working with the locals. Lunch You will join with the local families your meal. Meet the Locals After lunch you will be divided into smaller groups to walk around the village to meet the locals. Most of the local people in the village have never travelled out of Vietnam so they will be eager to hear your stories. School visit The children will love to meet you and here you can handover any gifts and play with them. Dinner & Dance After dinner you will enjoy the traditional performance at the village as a farewell party for the group Inclusions: Transport, leader & guide, building project, breakfast, lunch, dinner & entertainment. After your last morning working at the site you will then handover the project to the local people Lunch - Back to village homestay to check out and have lunch Hanoi Upon returning to Hanoi your evening is free to enjoy at your leisure. 11 Day 6 - Hue A short flight takes you south to Hue, a peaceful central city that has a fascinating history, beginning with it's ancient Cham origins, to becoming the capital of Vietnam until 1945, and the site of one of the bloodiest and longest battles of the Vietnam War in Today Hue is regarded as the cultural and spiritual capital of the country and has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site.. Hue City Tour This fun and fascinating tour takes you to the Imperial Citadel, Forbidden Purple Palace and the king s tombs. You will love the stunning view of the Perfume River from the Thien Mu Pagoda and learn how to make incense. Dinner Tonight s dinner is at a local restaurant. 12 Day 4 - Hue 8.30 am Pick-up you from hotel and transfer for your visit to Nguyet Bieu, a social center for disadvantaged children. Arrive the center at around 9.00 am. Spend some time to get to know more on the children s life, handover gifts and play with children. You will be divided into 2 groups. One group will play games, teaching kids painting, learn basic sign languages to communicate with deaf kids, with the children while the other help the cooking team to prepare lunch for everyone. At pm enjoy lunch together then hand-over gifts and donations that we prepared for the children. Say a heartfelt goodbye before returning to you hotel. Notes: our team have prepared some gifts and an amount of donation to children prior to this visit but you can also bring your own gift for children. Some suggestion for gifts are clay, crayons, coloring pages, toys.

Decorated in military style this bar has the perfect blend of local and western cultures, making you feel right at home in the heart of Vietnam. Get a first-hand experience of the Vietnam war with a talk from a real war veteran followed by a rooftop dinner, with mocktails, cocktails, wine and beer. 15 Day 9 Depart Hue to begin your 160km journey to Hoi An travelling through coastal rice paddies to the fishing village of Lang Co, before taking the scenic mountainous route over the spectacular Hai Van Pass. Shortly before lunch you will arrive in Hoi An, a charming World Heritage village which is being beautifully restored and preserved that will captivate you immediately. No matter what you like you will find it here, whether it is shopping, restaurants, photography, history, architecture, golf, fishing, swimming, scuba, abseiling, or massage and relaxing on the beach. Inclusions: Transport, leader & guide, and breakfast.

16 Day 10 & 11 Hoi An Enjoy your final days in paradise. You may choose to lounge by your resort pool, swim at the beach or indulge in a massage, facial or pedicure. For those wanting action please see out optional activities on the next page.

17 Day 12 Departure Opportunity for Family to Join. You will be transferred to Da Nang airport for your return flight home. We trust you will carry with you a gigantic bag of wonderful memories and know that you have made an enormous contribution to the lives of so many in Vietnam. We hope to see you again one day. After 8 days of volunteering and touring the Schoolies will then retreat to a resort in Hoi An for a well earned rest before returning home. This is an excellent opportunity for the family to travel to Vietnam to enjoy the beach and charming town of Hoi An or surrounding areas with their Schoolies.
