P08 9QL PERTH, ADELAIDE, CAIRNS, SYDNEY, BRISBANE March 18 th - 9 th April 2015 A return to Australia for some great aviation collections, indigenous aircraft types, superb museums and some equally superb flying opportunities in some great rare aircraft. This tour shall be starting with a short stop off in Malaysia for the 2015 LIMA Airshow a great chance to take pictures of the Malaysian Air Force aircraft during your 1 or 2 day visit. Onto Australia visiting the great cities of Perth, Adelaide, Cairns, Brisbane and finally Sydney meeting up with familiar aircraft operators at all the locations. Proposed Itinerary (Feb 2015) Wed 18 th Meet Graham Spiller your tour escort and other group members at London Heathrow airport for your Malaysian Airlines flights to Malaysia for our three nights stay. Flt NoMH003 Depart Heathrow (T4) Thu 19 th Arrive Kuala Lumpur transfer to the Hotel for our stay of 3 nights. Fri/Sat 20th /21st Full days at the LIMA Airshow Sun 22 nd Transfer to KL After clearing customs catch our onwards flight to Langkawi Flt No.MH1436 Depart KL Arrive Langkawi Flt No. MH127 Depart KL Mon 23 rd Arrive Perth Flt No. MH1433 Depart Langkawi Arrive KL Meet our transport for our visit to Malaysian AF Museum, evening flight to Perth. On arriving at Perth we clear customs and immigration before transferring to the Hotel for our stay of 3 nights. Remainder of the day is free. Tue 24 th Today we begin with a visit to the RAAFA Museum at Bull Creek to see their superb collection of aircraft. We continue the day at Jandekot airport where we hope to have pleasure flights with the local flying school. Wed 25 th Fly to Adelaide for our stay of three nights. Flt No. VA714 Depart Perth Arrive Adelaide On arrival we shall visit the South Australia Aircraft Museum before going onto our hotel for our stay of 3 nights. Thu 26 th We begin the day with a visit to the Fighter Jets Museum at Parafield, we hope to have pleasure flights. 3 Fri 27 th A visit to the Lincoln Nitchky s Collection in the Barrossa Valley is planned for today and we also hope to visit Geoff Davis s and his collection. Sat 28 th Morning direct flight to Cairns Flt No.VA1393 Depart Adelaide Arrive Brisbane Flt No. VA785 Depart Brisbane Arrive Cairns On arrival transfer to our hotel. Remainder of the day is free. Sun 29th Free Day to explore Cairns why not have a day at the Great Barrier Reef. Flights over the reef are also available. Mon 30 th On completion we set for the Beck Collection at Mareeba. On completion we shall go to the local airport where we hope to have some pleasure flying. Tue 31 st We begin the day with a flight onto Brisbane. Flt No.778 Depart Cairns Arrive Brisbane On arrival we shall travel to Caloundra airport for pleasure flying (Chipmunk, Genairco, TigerMoth L5B). We shall also visit the Queensland Air Museum located at this airport. On completion we shall return to Brisbane for our stay of 3 nights. Wed 1 st We begin the morning with a visit to the Army Aviation Museum at Oakey before arriving at Toowoomba airport for a visit to the Zuccoli Collection. We shall arrange some pleasure flights here aircraft to be decided on arrival. Thu 2 nd Heading north to the Sunshine Coast, we call in at Caboolture airport for the Caboolture Warplane Trust where we hope to complete prearranged flights (Tiger Moth, Piper Cub, Winjeel, Wirraway). Fri 3 rd We depart Brisbane for Newcastle this morning Flt No VA1102 Depart Brisbane Arrive Newcastle We shall spend the afternoon at the Fighter Town Museum at RAAF Williamtown, we shall watch the flying from the museums viewing balcony Sat 4 th Today is a visit to Luskintyre - Tiger Moth Heaven where we once again hope to have pleasure flights (Tiger Moth, Stampe SV4, Chipmunk). The afternoon we shall go to Maitland airport for optional flights before going to Sydney for our 4 night stay. Sun 5 th Free Day to explore this great city. Mon 6 th We have a private visit to the Camden Museum of Aviation with the trustees. 4 Tue 7 th Today we shall visit Bankstown s airport for the National Aviation Museum before meeting up with Craig for our Skyvan, Aerostar and Twin Pioneer flights. Wed 8 th Depart for our return journey via Kuala Lumpur Flt NO. As with all our tours, for visits to military bases members of the group should be respectfully attired when visiting the military establishments i.e. shirt, trousers and shoes should be worn, this is a pre-requisite for all group members. All visits are subject to alteration or cancellation due to the unsettled worldwide situation. Military visits are subject to cancellation due to operational requirements. Any pleasure flights taken during the tour are deemed to be a contract between the owner/operator and the passenger(s). Tickets for the Avalon show for Friday are included, if a second day is required tickets will be at own expense. Museum visit entrance fees are not included in this tour All group members must be in possession of insurance to cover them during the trip. Insurance is available through our agent. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no compulsory health requirements, however, we strongly recommend that you check with your local doctor or medical centre.
