We would like to introduce our tour of amazing Food Festivals - 4 Festivals across 3 Venues in The Love Food team are delighted to be in their 7 th year of running food festivals and it is with great pleasure that we are building on some solid foundations that have been laid since we started in We have standardised the format of all our events, so that key features will remain the same at all Festivals. These include the BBQ Master Class Area, Children s Cookery School and Food Laboratory, Social Kitchen, Foraging Walks and Cook-A-Long Master Class Theatre. Each of these feature areas have been updated for 2018 to include new classes and workshops, keeping the events fresh. As ever, our philosophy is that once the public have paid to get in all of our features are free, creating a quality family day out. The Hatfield Food Festival has been moved back to it s original date on the last weekend of July. You will also see that we will be running dedicated Children s Festivals as part of our 2018 calendar. Further information on these events can be found in the separate exhibitor pack. This document is designed to highlight the key aspects that will make the events a success for both exhibitors and sponsors. 4 2. GREAT MISSENDEN - April & August Great Missenden is one of the first events that Love Food took over 7 years ago. The event has gone from strength to strength in this time and 2017 saw record numbers over the four days. Gt. Missenden lies in the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Catchment areas include Beaconsfield, Amersham, Gerrards Cross and Wendover. This extremely affluent area provides ample ABC1 visitors with an estimated attendance of approximately 15,000 visitors over the weekend. The Easter Festival has now been running for 14 years will see the 3 rd annual August Great Missenden Food Festival, with 2017 seeing an increase of visitor numbers by 1/3 on Our target for the August 2018 event is an attendance of 10,000 visitors plus. The 2018 Easter Festival will take place at the Chiltern Open Air Museum. MAPLEDURHAM HOUSE - May Mapledurham House, Nr Reading, Berkshire RG4 7TR This stunning location has hosted an event on this weekend for over 20 years. This will be Love Food s 4th year at Mapledurham, after taking over the May event in The staff at Mapledurham are a delight to work with and have helped to develop the event. This has aided in doubling the visitor numbers from Located on the banks of the River Thames, Mapledurham House is a popular visitor attraction. Catchment areas include Reading, Henley on Thames and Wokingham. This affluent area provides ample ABC1 visitors with an estimated attendance of approximately 9,000 plus visitors. This event continues to grow with our aim for this to become one of our flagship events.

5 HATFIELD HOUSE - July Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL9 5NQ We are delighted to be returning to Hatfield House in 2018 and we will be back to our original date at the end of July. We will also be running a Children s Festival alongside the Food Festival to maximise attendance. Hatfield House is situated a short distance from the A1(M). Catchment areas include Hatfield, Hertford, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, Watford and Hemel Hempstead. This affluent area provides ample ABC1 visitors with an estimated attendance of approximately 4,000 visitors per day over the weekend. Hatfield House is an extremely popular and well established venue, which receives ample visitors on it s own merit. Visitors to the Food Festival will receive access to the Gardens and Park as part of their ticket as well as the Children s Festival.

There will be plenty to entice local foodies including: - EXHIBITOR MARKET PLACE exhibitors selling artisan food and drink, crafts and gifts. - BBQ MASTER CLASS THEATRE - Celebrity and expert chefs will be inspiring home cooks, visitors have the chance to cook along with the chef - CELEBRITY CHEF- Various Celebrity chefs will be joining us throughout COOK-A-LONG MASTER CLASS THEATRE - Visitors have the chance to cook along with expert chefs. - FORGAING WALKS - Expert tuition and foraging master class - CHILDREN S COOKERY & FOOD SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS - - CHILDREN S AREA - Including the Grow Your Own tent, rides and slides, treasure hunt and costume character Jo Jo Bear. - LOCAL PRODUCER AVENUE - Discounted trade stands available to food/drink producers based within a 20 mile radius of the venue. - STREET FOOD EXPERIENCE - Culinary experiences from all over the world - LIVE MUSIC - - THE KITCHEN TABLE EXPERIENCE -

7 4. Every venue is unique and we tailor our marketing strategy for each venue. We will provide you with details of the unique selling points that we will promote each venue on in due course. However, for all of our venues as a minimum, we invest in the following: Regional Press & Radio Advertising - Our marketing campaigns are complimented with local lifestyle publications and coverage in the regional press and local radio. Direct Leaflet Drops - A door-to-door leafleting campaign will reach 70,000 + households within the catchment area. Roadside Signage A0 advertising boards will be placed throughout the catchment areas, alongside banners and signs on major roadways. Social Media Campaigns - In partnership with our key brands we undertake extensive Facebook and Twitter campaigns. With the support of key appliance sponsors we have a range of major kitchen items to offer as prize giveaways. Direct Marketing With a vast database of names and addresses from our existing and partner databases, the direct marketing campaign offers extensive coverage to a huge section of the population. 5. Visitor demographic breakdown for food festivals: 42% Men, 58% Women, 89%AB Adults ABC1 - attendees that are wealthy professionals, that live in desirable and aspiration areas normally owning large houses. The typical foodie visitors are looking for quality in their food and drink, and are prepared to pay for it. With the majority looking for premium products to enhance their life style. On average they have a high disposable income and a passion for all things foodie, visitors wish to be inspired, to learn.
