2 Overview of ASIDE Scheme The Govt. of India had approved the scheme for extending Assistance to States for Developing Export Infrastructure and Allied Activities (ASIDE) in the year and formulate guidelines for funding with merger of the schemes in respect of EPIP,EPZ, CIB, and EDF for North Eastern Region and Sikkim with new scheme shall be funded by the states from the resources provided under the new scheme. The objective of the Scheme is to involve the states in the export effort by providing assistance to the State Governments for creating appropriate infrastructure for the development and growth of exports. The guidelines has been revised by incorporating the views of the State Govts.
