It s central to so many other locations. Being able to live in the country and to raise my family on a lot of land is important to me, but I m not compromising conveniences to do it. KEVIN ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE Transportation Perth County is well served by both passenger and freight rail services and located within a 1.5 hour drive of five international shipping ports. Three carriers provide daily freight rail services to Perth County. There are five international airports that serve the region all located within a 1.5 hour drive, including Stratford Municipal Airport, equipped to handle corporate, freight and recreational flights. 6 OUR COMMUNITIES Perth County is comprised of four member municipalities that work together to support business investment. The member municipalities are the Municipality of North Perth, the Township of Perth East, the Township of Perth South, and the Municipality of West Perth. North Perth Home to 13,130 residents, North Perth is the fastest growing community in Perth County. Listowel, its major urban centre, is a regional commercial and service hub for nearby communities in Perth, Wellington and Huron counties with its thriving downtown and diverse retail offerings. North Perth is a short 30-minute drive to Kitchener- Waterloo and has a full-service hospital and new Recreation Complex. Fibre connectivity in the community ensures that residents and businesses are connected to global markets. There are privately owned and serviced industrial properties available in the municipality. Plans are in the works for the development of a brand new municipal industrial park. 7 Perth East A geographically large and diverse area known for its unique Amish and Mennonite communities, Perth East is home to 12,261 people. 8 West Perth Finding the perfect location for your business within a close distance to all major markets is an easy task in West Perth. West Perth is an easy commute to Stratford and is within 40 minutes of London. The municipality has a population of 8,865, and has a market-trade area of over 40,000 people located within 15 minutes. One of the booming businesses to call West Perth home is BioAgriMix, Canada s largest producer of animal pharmaceutical products. 9 Perth South With the highest average household income in the county, Perth South residents enjoy a high standard of living in Perth County s smallest township of 3,810 residents.
