2 Very successful, friendly and relaxing Melbourne Cup Luncheon was held at the Mapleton Bowls Club. Congratulations to all organisers. The best dress man on the Day was Ron Usher [above]. Ron was accompanied by his beautiful wife, Coral. Best dress lady was Bev Ziesmer. Congratulation to Bev and Ron, and to all Mapleton out shone itself. 3 Gym Christmas Party Why not come along to the Mapleton Bowls Club for the Gym Xmas Party from 3-6pm. Learn how to play Barefoot Bowls or join in other indoor games and meet our members and see what it is like to join our gym. Probus Club of North Blackall Range Inc will hold its final meeting for the year on Friday 10th November at 10am in the Mapleton Bowls Club, 5 Post Office Road. The next meeting will be Friday 9th February Potential new members are welcome to come along as our guest to these meetings. Probus is holding our Christmas Lunch at 'Secrets on the Lake' on Friday 8th December. Members past and present are welcome to join us for a 2-course meal of main and dessert for $35. The Shed is aiming to attract men who are not interested in the usual woodwork/metal work pursuits in which many members engage. Men can just visit for a cup of tea/coffee and chat. 9 Love washi tape but just not sure how to use it? Our card making crafternoons will show you how to use this wonderful tape to make 3 Christmas cards and a Christmas tag. These classes are perfect for beginners as well as experienced makers. We're running two crafternoons this time to cater for the Monday to Friday workday warriors who cannot usually attend on a Monday. Cost is $15 per participant with all materials supplied. If you are already a card maker, feel free to bring along your favourite scissors or other supplies. Afternoon tea will be provided. Please call Andrea on to book your spot.
