3 WELCOME What a joy to welcome you to your new HOME Hillsong Church, for whatever length of time we are blessed to have you. These are beautiful days for the Church of Jesus Christ across the earth, and it will be your contribution, your sacrifice and your passion for the future that continues to build momentum and expectancy for what God wants to do. The creativity, time and enthusiasm that our college students bring to Hillsong Church is one of our greatest joys. Our deep prayer is that amidst the newness and potential homesickness, you will have a wide eyed wonder and genuine trust that God has brought you here for such a time as this. We pray that you will dive right into your studies and your relationships and that you will find a sense of belonging here, amongst your new church family. For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. 19 Noise Australian houses are not known for being well-insulated or sound proof. Please be aware of this and keep quiet past 9pm. Most neighbours know you are in a Hillsong College house. Keep in mind that you may be the only Jesus they see. Let s be a good witness to those around us. Waste Disposal Rubbish/Recycling: There are 2 bins at each residence, red (rubbish) and yellow (recycling). Rubbish is collected every week and recycling every fortnight. Please check with your neighbours about the schedule. Driving and Traffic Depending on your country of origin, you may not be accustomed to vehicles driving on the left side of the road. Before crossing the street, please note that all traffic comes from your right. Always look in both directions before crossing and use paved walkways and pedestrian crossings. Safety Ladies, please avoid walking home alone at night. Make sure you are in a group and if possible let someone know where you are. This is for your safety; please take this seriously. Electricity Before you plug anything into the power receptacle, check to make sure that it is rated for up to 220amps. Most electronic items will have this information on the item or on the box it came with. If not, you will need a power converter/ transformer (this is different from a plug adapter, it reduces the power to 110amps). Guys, do not let the ladies walk home alone. Make an extra effort to ensure that the ladies make it home safely. If they ask, walk with them. This is for their safety; please take this seriously.
