1 Biomaterials For Tomorrow Kochi Marriot Hotel, Kochi, Kerala, India January 7-9, rd Circular Welcome to B4T, Kochi Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry, Stockholm University, Sweden and International and Inter University Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Kerala, India welcomes you to participate in the B4T workshop organized under Indo-Swedish bilateral project supported by Swedish Research Links (VR, Dnr , ). Biomaterials For Tomorrow (B4T) is a workshop to share knowledge on the strategies for the utilization of bioresources for developing future materials, devices and products. Talks will be delivered by invited speakers only. Abstracts are invited for poster presentations.

2 Objective of the workshop The workshop will deliver a series of invited lectures from the leading scientists in Europe and India on the topic of valorization of biomass, refining and characterisation of cellulose, nanocellulose, lignin, hemicellulose and other high value components from plants, trees, bioresidues, processing technologies for material development, emerging applications, scale up and commercialization potential. The workshop will focus on the following topics 1. Biomass valorization 2. Biobased composites, nanostructures and functional materials 3. Biobased drugs and biomedical devices and products 4. Scale up and industry perspectives 60 invited participants from India and abroad will attend and share scientific expertise and build networks at the event. 6 Plenary talks and 14 invited talks are confirmed. Young Researchers Forum Junior research forum will be dedicated presentations from students. PhD

3 Posters We have invited junior researchers to submit abstracts for consideration for poster presentations. About 20 posters are accepted for presentations and the best 3 student posters will be selected for prizes.
