5 08 OUR VENUES RIVER STUDIO 09 RIVER STUDIO With the release of the new River Studio, Brisbane Powerhouse has a unique opportunity to create a flexible, multi-purpose destination event and meeting space that can be promoted to several niche markets. The two modes are: creative-thinking meeting space and traditional function and event space. Brisbane Powerhouse has partnered with Luxxbox, who bring their unique urban design aesthetic to the space. ThinkLab by Luxxbox offers a contemporary design solution for creating agile spaces for people to listen, learn and create together perfect for the River Studio. Located on the ground level, the River Studio s floor to ceiling glass windows offer an abundance of natural light and an open, spacious atmosphere. Heritage listed brick columns create a naturally diverse space with built in breakout areas. Fitted out with the stunning ThinkLab interior range from Luxxbox, the space encompasses acoustic lighting, collaborative furniture, and agile whiteboards. ThinkLab at River Studio in an opportunity for corporate and creatives alike to experience workshops, strategic thinking and inspired down-time. With a flexible performance space, the Powerhouse Theatre is ideal for all event concepts, from public lectures, seminars and conferences to weddings and gala dinners. The Powerhouse Theatre is a highly versatile space with a fully retractable seating bank, revealing a flat floor space of 458m2. The space offers a surprisingly intimate and captivating atmosphere that will leave your guests with a memorable experience. With floor to ceiling glass walls, the space overlooks the Turbine Platform, or you can curtain the space off to create a private atmosphere for your conference. The Park Mezzanine can also be used for interval drinks, a VIP area for events held on the Turbine Platform, meetings and theatre style presentations for up to 40 guests. With its vibrant walls and river views, the Graffiti Room offers a truly unique venue for smaller meetings, conferences and training sessions for up to 15 guests. A contemporary alternative to the standard boardroom, the Graffiti Room will inspire creative ideas for you and your team. Modern and elegant styling from Indigo & Ivy complimented by an abundance of beautiful florals from Akirah Collective, creating a striking accent to the industrial style of the Rooftop Terrace. A rustic yet vibrant floral arbour created a centrepiece for the Riverbend Terrace, transforming the aesthetic of the Riverbend Terrace into a classic ceremony space. The bride and groom were the epitome of style, putting their unique flair on the classic wedding attire.

Since launching in 2006, Zen Catering has quickly established itself as a leader in Brisbane catering services, having won Best Corporate Caterer three years running. From formal or relaxed sit down dining to delicious and stylish cocktail canapés, Zen Catering offers a broad range of menus to suit any occasion. With great versatility in menu development, the team is able to create a unique concept to suit all functions from intimate private parties to large scale corporate and public events. Zen Catering brings a professional and polished approach with a creative edge to your corporate event, private function, or wedding celebration, ensuring your event will be remembered for years to come. Brisbane Powerhouse works closely with a number of trusted local suppliers who are dedicated to bringing your event to life. Brisbane Powerhouse offers a range of beverage packages for all functions and budgets, as well as the option of purchasing beverages on consumption. Whether you would prefer a local drop or something international, our extensive beverage list has you covered. Furniture + Styling Inspiring and bespoke event concepts are brought to life at Brisbane Powerhouse by top-notch event stylists with a great range of designer furniture and accessories from Valiant Events. Whether you need professional event hire services for a corporate function, a sporting event, a cultural affair, or your own wedding or party, Valiant works closely with you to design, style and bring together your vision for your event.

15 28 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 29 FAQs Do you offer a cash bar? No, we don t have cash bar facilities in our function spaces. Do I have to use your caterer? Yes, we have an exclusive contract with Zen Catering. Their menus are seasonal and change twice a year, around March and September. When are menu selections due? Catering selections are due two weeks prior to your event date. Final numbers and dietaries are due seven days prior. How long do I have the venue? Standard hire is for an eight hour period, this is to include the bump in and out times. We offer a maximum five hour beverage service policy and this usually determines your start and finish time. For example if you were to start your five hour package at 6pm, the bar would close at 11pm and guests are given a half hour grace to exit the space, with the function closing at 11.30pm. Can dietaries be covered? Yes, Zen Catering can assist with dietary requirements if we are aware of them seven days prior to the event. Do you have sound restrictions? Yes, please speak with your venue coordinator regarding the specifics of your hired venue. What options are available for beverages? There are two options available for beverages, both listed below. PACKAGED: We offer two, three, four and five hour packages. These are priced per head and include staff. Beverage selections are available in our menu. ON CONSUMPTION: You select a tab amount. This amount is taken as a deposit and charged on your interim invoice with the remainder being reconciled after your event and charged on a final invoice. You will need to nominate a contact on the night for when the initial tab amount is reached, this person will then need to sign off on an increase. Staff are not included with on consumption beverages. Staff are $40.00 per hour, with a minimum four hour shift Guests: One bar staff required Guests: Two bar staff required Guests: Three bar staff required Are there any additional charges associated with the venue? Additional charges are dependent on final room set up and requirements for your event. Please contact our events team for a full quote. What are your payment terms? We invoice in three stages. Initial invoice is issued at the time of booking and includes the entire venue hire as a deposit. Your interim invoice will be issued one week prior to the event date once we receive your final numbers. This will include catering, beverages and any additional hire items. The interim invoice must be paid prior to the event going ahead. A final invoice will be issued after your event where necessary; for example, if you choose to have beverages on consumption, there will be a final invoice to reconcile the tab. Cancellation of the hiring where the Hirer cancels the event more than 28 days prior to the event, the Venue Management will retain 10% of the room hire as an administration fee. Where the Hirer cancels the event less than 28 days prior to the event the room hire will be forfeited. Cancellation of the event less than 14 days prior to the event will result in the forfeiture of all monies.

Both stops are a short walk away from Brisbane Powerhouse. During busy times we open a one way link road that connects to New Farm Park carpark that provides more than 200 additional car spaces. If you have a dinner or show reservation, we encourage you to arrive early to give yourself enough time to find a park (and our tip is to head to New Farm Park first as these parks don t fill as quickly). Secure bicycle racks are available outside of the Stores and Turbine buildings. TAXI: The taxi collect and drop off area is in the car park beside the Stores Building. Free taxi phones are located in the foyer opposite the box office.
