Automechanika Academy From September 2008 visitors to the Academy will be able to take part in discussions with expert speakers from the industry. Current aftermarket issues will be discussed and potential solutions offered. Moderators include Prof. Dudenhöffer (Director of the Center of Automotive Research, Gelsenkirchen) and Prof. Reindl (Assistant Head of the Institute for the Automotive Sector, Geislingen). Green Directory All signals are green. The Green Directory guides visitors to environmentally friendly, sustainable and low-emission technologies, products and services. Automechanika Innovation Award 2008 Outstanding technical developments and product innovations in this sector will be presented with the Innovation Award 2008 by an expert jury. Prizes will be awarded in the following eight categories: Parts Systems Tuning Accessories Repair / Diagnostics Repair / Maintenance IT & Management Service Station & Car Wash Body Repair & Color Tec Vehicle painting and body repair companies are an established part of Automechanika. Various vehicle paintwork training colleges will be showcasing their exhibits and products as part of a special show in Hall 9.2.

5 From near and far Getting to Frankfurt Frankfurt, the trade fair capital of Germany, is easily accessible by all means of transport. Whether you come by car, train or plane your route to the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre is quick, direct and easy. By car Follow the signs for Messe on all motorway exits. This will bring you to the Rebstock car park. From there you can take a free shuttle bus to the exhibition centre entrance. By plane From Frankfurt/Main airport, take S-Bahn (suburban railway) line S 8 or S 9 to the Hauptbahnhof (central train station). Then follow the directions below in the By train section. Alternatively, there is a shuttle bus that takes you directly to the exhibition centre entrance from Terminal 1 or 2 in about 30 minutes. By train From Frankfurt central station (Hauptbahnhof) the exhibition centre is only a few minutes away. Take tram line 16 or 17, U-Bahn (underground railway) line U 4 or a taxi to the Messe City entrance, or S-Bahn (suburban railway) line S 3, S 4, S 5 or S 6 to the Torhaus entrance.
