2 PRESIDENTS REPORT Since last report we have had two interesting social events in our social calendar, one being a most interesting talk by an ex British Naval man talking of experiences during the 2nd World War on the Murmansk convoys delivering aid to the Russians from Britain, and the other a fleeting visit by Friendship Force from Austin Texas to have lunch with us at the Fisherman's Table in town. This will probably be my last President's Report as I step down from this post. Thank you all for supporting me and I do hope that you will give all your support to the incumbent President. Remember by getting involved you will get far more out of the Club, and it makes the President and committee's work more enjoyable and rewarding when they see members participating. And don't forget we are still looking for new members and fresh ideas, and when you see somebody, they could be another prospective member! Have a marvellous Christmas. Bob, President 2013 EXCHANGES We have been allocated one inbound exchange and a 2 phase outbound exchange for next year. Inbound: Columbia Cascade, USA in February/March Outbound: Pecs, Hungary and Halle-Saale, Germany in September Columbia Cascade is one of the clubs that we visited last year. SUBS DUE Annual subs are now due and you will be receiving an invoice shortly. Please pay before the end of the year as we have to submit dues to Atlanta in January. LUNCH WITH MEMBERS OF AUSTIN, TEXAS FRIENDSHIP FORCE CLUB Members of the Austin, Texas Club contacted us to say that they would be in Wellington for three days between exchanges and would like to meet up. The decision was made to go to The Fisherman s Table on Oriental Parade as they do reasonably priced meals and have an outstanding location. Fourteen of our members met up with nine of theirs. In spite of the forecast, the weather was kind to us and we were able to enjoy lovely views of the harbour in the sunset. Everyone enjoyed the time of fellowship, the food and the views and photos were taken to commemorate the event.

3 After leaving the restaurant, many of us crossed the road to buy an ice cream or a gelato before we said our goodbyes.
