2 EXHIBITION SUMMARY The 5th Annual Health & Wellness Expo, is organized by Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA). The Health & Wellness Expo last year received positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors alike and is growing in strength year on year. BECA s Health & Wellness Expo aims to promote well-being and holistic lifestyle practices that will make a positive difference in one s day-to-day living. The goal of the Health & Wellness Expo is to increase awareness for the residents of the GCC on how to live a good and healthy life. The industry professionals on the other hand will have Business to Business (B2B) meetings that will serve as a platform to achieve maximum exposure for their brands, gain networking opportunities and increase revenue. International and regional exhibitors participated last year, included Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, USA, Jordan, India, Thailand, and Hong Kong with all kinds of buyers, retailers, importers, exporters, distributors and medical professionals of all sectors. Bahrain is a multi-national Kingdom with many organizations that offer vast selections of health services and products to the public. 3 ABOUT BAHRAIN EXHIBITION AND CONVENTION AUTHORITY (BECA) The Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) is an organisation founded in 2006 and functions under the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. BECA is governed by a Board of Directors with His Excellency Dr Hassan Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, as Chairman of the board. Its goal is to establish Bahrain in the International meetings arena and to promote Bahrain as a unique and preferred Meetings, Incentives, Conference, and Exhibition (MICE) destination. BECA, the venue operator for the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center, cultivates partnerships with key Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry stakeholders to promote and showcase Bahrain, encourage investments and attract international and regional market for exhibitions, conventions and congresses. Currently, BECA organizes two major exhibitions every year the annual Food and Hospitality Expo and Health and Wellness Expo. Both expos which are held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, have doubled in size since their conception. BECA has also built several initiatives which have greatly contributed towards the development of the MICE market in Bahrain.
