Dear Delegates, As Chairman, I am immensely proud to welcome my fellow members to Rio and to promote the good work that IRATA does for the bene t of the Rope Access and Work at Height Industry at large. This year, our Association and its various elected committees have worked tirelessly to deliver the publications of the revised ICOP, our new Training Assessment and Certi cation Scheme (TACS) and the Application of IRATA International Work Access Methods on Wind Turbines. I would like to personally thank the Equipment and Standards Committee s dedicated working groups, the Training Committee, the Health & Safety Committee and last but not least, our Executive Committee Volunteers for all their hard work and commitment in bringing our industry such valuable documents. Over the next three days, we have a full programme of meetings which I trust you will nd informative and during which time you will be able to interact and meet with member companies representing our Association in every continent.
