2 The ASEAN Agenda-One Vision, One Identity, One Community ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) to be established by 2015 Australia appointed first ASEAN Ambassador September 2013 (Jakarta based-asean Secretariat) Enhanced people-to-people and government-to-government relations to support AEC and regional cohesion e.g. SEA Games, SEAMEO Economic integration plus comprehensive connectivity of key infrastructure(singapore-kunming Rail Link; ASEAN Highway Network) and services 3 Recognition/harmonisation of standards and qualifications e.g. ASEAN Secretariat Common ASEAN Tourism Curriculum (CATC) and Qualifications Framework English the official ASEAN regional language of government, business and education- challenge and opportunity.
