2 4 13 SHOOTING REPORT Teutonia shooters have done it again. 5 members went to Luddenham NSW to participate in the Australian ARAA Championships in January. Ron produced the best 10 and was crowned King. Our youngest member Denis finished being Junior Champion. Alex was most improved shooter in Junior Class. Other results Ron 3 rd and 1 st Senior in B Grade, Julian 1 st and 1 st Junior in C Grade, Adrian 1 st in E Grade. A silver medal in B Team for Ron and Alex, A gold medal for Julian and Denis in C Team. Also a gold in Junior Team for Alex and Julian. Well done for bringing all these trophies and medals home as well as the King and Junior chains. February was also a big month for our 4 juniors who received an invite to shoot in the Victorian Junior Championship held at Melbourne International Range. They produced great results with both Julian and Alex finishing in the final shoot out. Julian came 7 th and Alex 5 th. This was an Olympic style championship with the 2 best shooters, both from Adelaide, being selected for Commonwealth games, World Championships or the Olympics. We congratulate all 4 junior shooters with Denis and Matt producing personal bests. Our club has been received well by Target Australia-Target Victoria, and we already have had some s encouraging us to participate next year. This would give our 4 boys some time to possibly crack the big league in shooting as Olympic junior age is up to 21 years. We are back in practise and just finished our first postal shoot. Also in the new year we had quite a few enquiries from new shooters with some good prospects for permanent members. Remember to come and participate on Wednesdays, also Fridays, with socialising after shooting, and also Sundays when Hans opens the range from 11am. A good time was had by all attending the recent Summerfest. Many people took part in the shooting, winning themselves flowers and animals and enjoying the experience. Great to see many new faces and we hope that these people return to partake of our great social and shooting club. 3 14 3 COMMITTEE REPORT Hello everyone, February is the month when activities resume at the club. We started with our annual Summerfest on Sunday 22nd February. Despite the weather being overcast but very warm, we had a very good attendance. Everybody seemed to have a good time and enjoyed catching up with old friends. Billy Mainhardt provided the musical entertainment. Once again Thank You to the volunteers for all their help. Due to unforseen circumstances the Sunday Dance on 19 April has been cancelled. Please mark this in your calendar. Bring your Mother, Sweetheart and family to Club Teutonia s Mothers Day Celebration for a special Sunday lunch and an afternoons entertainment. The two functions for March will be the ANNUAL BALL on Saturday 14 March with the Silverbeat performing. On Sunday 29 March we will be entertained by the LATERNDL TRIO from Austria.
