Transfer of Govt. land, Land Acquisition, Mining of Soil, Ganga channel, Design of Pile foundation, SEIAA have been the main reason of delay which have been partly resolved. Mainly land issue persists at Ch. 0.0 to 0.7 (Digha), 12.0 to 12.8 (Gai Ghat), 13.6 to 21.5 (from Nauzar Ghat to Deedarganj). 66 GANGA PATH FROM DIGHA TO DEEDARGANJ AT PATNA (Length km) BRIEF OVERVIEW Possibility of providing connectivity at Khajekalan Ghat is being explored. From Ch onward there was a provision of Embankment in main design of Ganga Path, but due to shifting of river towards City side a detailed study has been conducted by IIT Roorkee, elevated structure has been recommended from km 13.5 to Accordingly centre line has been modified & revised proposal has been prepared-

67 GANGA PATH FROM DIGHA TO DEEDARGANJ AT PATNA (Length km) BRIEF OVERVIEW Elevated Ch (Nauzar Ghat) to 16.0 (west of Patna Ghat) & Ch to 20.4 (Deedarganj) Embankment Ch (west of Patna Ghat) to 19.9 (Deedarganj) & Ch to (Deedarganj) Cost as Per Sch.- H (In Crores) Additional Civil Cost* (In Crores) * Considering the reduced project length from Ch to Ch ( Old NH-30 instead of New NH-30) Less private land acquisition will be needed as ROW is reduced to 45m (Land between Ch KM to Ch KM is private land). This will also resolve the issue of Guest house of Khankahe Munimiya at Mitan Ghat. Re-location of Khajekalan burning Ghat will not be required & free access to river front will be available. Most of the hindrances can be minimized due to less ROW requirement.

117 Patna Ring Road MORTH Government of India has proposed for construction of 4-Lane Ring Road for Patna. NHAI has engaged M/S Jacob as DPR Consultant. The Consultant has suggested the alignment of SH-78 Bihta-Sarmera Road from Kanhauli to Lakhna and from Lakhna to Kachhi Dargah through Greenfield. This stretch will require huge land acquisition. It has been therefore considered to take up the alignment of SH-78 Bihta- Sarmera Road from Kanhauli to Daniawan (55 Km) for 4-lanning. From Daniawan to Fautha, NH-30A, 7 Km will be widened to 4-lanning which is currently widened to 2 Lane with Paved Shoulders. From Fatuha to Kachhi Dargah, 5 Km which is SH-105 will also be widened to 4-lane. Also SH-01 Sadikpur-Pabheri-Masauri Road (39 Km) is being considered to take-up for 4-lanning under this scheme. The total length, =107 Km, does not require any land acquisition for4-lanning.
