1 O F A D R O I T T E A M V O L U N T E E R S Charity Golf Day Results Adroit raises $90,000 for the Thank you to all those who gave their time on the day Maryanne Cleasby Joey Bastick Leanne Welsh Josh Young Dave Young Ben Peck Kieran Paton Sally Friend Pip Hunt Andrew Lawson Pauline Van Der Merwe Sarah Ford The fourteenth Annual Adroit Insurance Group Charity Golf Day held on Thursday 19 November at 13 th Beach Barwon Heads raised a whopping $90,000 in net funds. This brings the grand total of proceeds raised so far from the event to in excess of $840,000. Adroit not only bettered their 2014 contribution of $86,000 but broke the event day record, cementing the event s reputation as a major fundraising date for the Geelong community. Of the $90,000 raised, $11,000 was donated to St. Laurence Community Services to help fund their Sensory Garden project. This project converted a large north facing area which could not be used, into an outdoor garden space that is safe, accessible, inclusive, educational and therapeutic. The remaining $79,000 went to the Geelong Community Foundation who will distribute to other worthwhile community projects. Adroit Managing Director Andrew Locke was extremely pleased with the outcome, thanking the businesses and organisations who sponsored and supported the day for donating so generously. The benefits from the funds we raised today are far-reaching, thanks to the great work St Laurence and the Geelong Community Foundation do said Mr Locke. It s amazing to see so many businesses and organisations supporting our community by giving generously and in turn, allowing St Laurence and the Foundation to do what they do best The 13th Beach Golf course was in wonderful condition and a great day of golf was had by the 44 teams from the many local businesses who were supporting the event as well as the wider insurance community. This year the NTI Team of Mike Edmons, Renzo Antidomi, James Telfer and Ross Lambrick won the competition for the Meatball Cup, named in honor of the late Graham Page, a past Director of Adroit Insurance Group. The event was closed out with a celebratory seafood dinner, MC d by AFL personality Garry Lyon. Another fantastic end to the Annual Adroit Insurance Group Charity Golf Day.
