1 THE WORLD S LEADING PORT NETWORK.
2 WHAT MAKES HUTCHISON PORTS THE WORLD S LEADING PORT NETWORK? More shipping containers move through terminals every year than any other operator in the world. To date, we have moved over one billion containers. We are strategically located at key ports along the most important trade lanes in the world today, from the cargo-heavy Asia-US/Europe transpacific routes to the intricate network comprising the One Belt One Road Initiative. Our comprehensive network provides a vast suite of services ranging from mobile apps, electronic payment and tracking, to gate automation and remote control crane operations. This constantly growing suite of services and best-in-class terminal operating practices are shared across our network, including our proprietary Next Generation Terminal Operating System (ngen) that manages crane and container movements with the utmost speed, accuracy and efficiently, and our revolutionary ShoreTension system that prevents mooring lines from snapping, even under extreme weather conditions. This growth is in tune with the changing needs of the wider industry, including the areas of cargo safety and security and inland services in Central and Eastern Africa, bonded warehouses and hubbing facilities for Middle East petrochemical exports, and extensive deep-water facilities in the Pearl River Delta region. We build, operate and manage the world s most advanced container terminals while simultaneously promoting and facilitating the economic growth of the countries in which we operate. As we move into the future, is increasingly solidifying the internal alignment of systems and processes, allowing for the most efficient use of manpower, resources and facilities and ensuring the safety, security and speed of our operations.
3 BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE. ASIA / AUSTRALASIA In Asia and Australasia, has its heaviest concentration of terminals. These have developed over the years in tune with shifting manufacturing bases and growing infrastructure. From the trade arteries of Northeast Asia served by our terminals in South Korea, to the Special Economic Zones of China and the industrial heartlands of southeast Asia, we ve deployed some of the most advanced equipment in the region to service the many mega-vessels calling our deep water berths. Asia has some of most extensive mega-vessel handling facilities, capable of handling multiple mega-vessels simultaneously. MIDDLE EAST / AFRICA is located in a number of growing and emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa. Our growing network in the region facilitates both local and international trade as the countries in which we operate expand their industrial bases. We ve made significant contributions to the development of the ports we operate, training local staff, upgrading IT systems and installing the latest infrastructure and equipment. Recent growth in the region includes significant deployment of remote-control crane operations. EUROPE has a significant presence in Europe where it runs some of its most environmentally-friendly and technologically-advanced container terminal facilities, including the group s first semi-automated terminal. We operate large-scale terminal facilities that are bolstered by a network of inland feeder terminals and connections to ports spread across Europe and North Africa. The favorable geographical location of its many deep water terminals are supplemented by end-to-end value-added services and the expansion of facilities capable of handling all variety of cargo. Located in the heartlands of Europe s rapidly growing distribution regions and leading industrial centres, are an extended network on multimodal feeder hubs that transport containers to and from our seaports and provide value-added services including on-demand pick-up and delivery containers. THE AMERICAS In the Americas, has its highest concentration of terminals in Mexico where it offers a wide-range of diverse operations handling a variety of cargo and vessel types. Our Americas network includes Buenos Aires facilities with a comprehensive container freight station and logistics facilities, a Bahamas network serving as a transshipment hub with terminals at both ends of the Panama Canal. In Mexico, we have specialised facilities serve as a gateway to the Pacific Coast of the US and Mexico as well as Central and South America. Our Americas terminals employ a number of highly advanced technological platforms for services such as cargo tracking and mobile apps.
4 UNRIVALLED STANDARDS NETWORK STRENGTH INFORMED DECISIONS TRUSTED AND HONEST YOUR PARTNERS UNITY is what we stand for and it sums up our values as a network. It is the word that best describes who we are, how we operate and why we are the industry leaders. As the world s leading port network, we ve been leading the way for decades, delivering best on what matters most to all our customers, partners and employees. WE ARE AN EXPERIENCED INTERNATIONAL PORTS OPERATOR. WE SET THE STANDARDS FOR OUR INDUSTRY. WE ARE A TRUE GLOBAL NETWORK OF PORTS. OUR SUCCESS IS PROVEN THROUGH GENERATIONS AND CONTINENTS. WE FOCUS ON THE FUTURE, NOT JUST THE PRESENT. WE OFFER CUSTOMISED SERVICE, NOT ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL. WE DEVELOP LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIPS. WE BUILD TRUST WHEREVER WE OPERATE.
