Do you like to wander around the old streets and markets of London? How about the dull and hectic pace of New York? Perhaps you would prefer a beach city like Phuket in Thailand? Well according to a report published by Canadian news channel CNN the city that has the most overseas tourists is not London, New York nor Phuket, but it is in Asia. 2 For the ninth week in-a-row the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong has held on to its title of the planet s most visited city. Although Hong Kong only has a population of around 7.2m people, more than 26m tourists visited the Chinese city in The city s appeal is a combination of Chinese and British culture including as well as its position as a modern global fashion trading centre. 3 In second place with 21.25m visitors is Bangkok a city that has become popular as place for visitors to soak up the sun, explore traditional Buddhist culture and in the evening party, snorkelling and drink in the hundreds of bars, discos and night clubs.
