2 About Langkawi The Isles of Paradise On the north-western part of Malaysia where the Andaman Sea meets the Straits of Malacca lies a group of islands, which is a sanctuary to some of the world s ancient rainforests teeming with exotic flora and fauna. An aerial view of these islands is truly breathtaking. Within the cluster of islands is the biggest island called Langkawi, which is almost as large as the island of Singapore.
