3 JOINT CHARITY BICYCLE RIDE INTRODUCTION The Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (MOA) will be organising the 43 rd Malaysian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting and 33 rd Asian Orthopaedic Association Annual Congress on 6 th 8 th of June 2013 at Riverside Majestic Hotel, Kuching and Grand Margherita Hotel, Kuching. A Joint Charity Bicycle Ride will be organised as part of the CSR program for the congress, with proceeds going to Normah Foundation, of which the main objective is to raise funds for arthritic patients who cannot afford the necessary medical surgical treatments. The charity ride will be held on Saturday, 8 th of June This charity ride is hoping to break the Malaysian Book of Record for most cyclists in a charity ride. As such, we wish to reach a minimum total number of 1,000 participants from all over Sarawak will be expected to participate.

4 JOINT CHARITY BICYCLE RIDE OBJECTIVES To raise fund for less fortunate Sarawak Arthritic patients to pursue further medical treatment or surgical, such as operation for joint replacement through Normah Foundation To break the Malaysian Book of Record for most cyclists in a charity ride To create awareness on Arthritic joint diseases To attract the Kuching Community in healthy living

8 EVENT HIGHLIGHTS Morning programme on 8 th June 2013 (Saturday), from 7.30am to 10am CSR Programme for 43 rd MOA ASM / 33 rd AOA Annual Congress 1 month prior promotion at hospitals, bicycle outlets, NGO centres, shopping centres, schools, corporate offices, etc. Estimated 2, 500 participants from all over Sarawak Flags off from Sarawak General Hospital and ends at Padang Merdeka, Kuching

9 EVENT HIGHLIGHTS Registration fee at RM 80 per participant; being inclusive of the official cycling jersey Exhibition programme at Padang Merdeka for display and raise awareness for arthritis disease Registration starts on 7 th June 2013 (Friday) at Riverside Majestic Hotel from 10am 5pm Entry Form will be given to all bicycle outlets by Mid February 2 13 and submission of Entry Form will close by Mid April 2013 (by Xtreme Event Management)
