1 Private Pilot Ground School Syllabus The is bulletized to provide quick answers and insights into the Knowledge Test questions. If you have the Jeppesen Private Pilot Book, it provides additional, more detailed information you may need. The Knowledge Test Prep Software is your main study material for the FAA Knowledge Test ( the written test ). It contains all the FAA questions for the Private Pilot Knowledge Test from which the FAA randomly picks 60 on which to test you. Each week, the instructors will be giving presentations on various subjects listed for that week. Study the sections in the software that pertain to the following week s presentation. The FAR / AIM (Federal Aviation Regulations / Airman s Information Manual) provides additional detailed information in case you need more than bulletized material found in the handbook. The Airplane Flying Handbook is a great resource to use when you start flying. It describes how to do flight maneuvers. Read this book before and after your flight lesson to further absorb what your instructor told you. Each week at the beginning of each class, we self grade the take-home Quiz. The Quiz is also designed to help guide your studying. Rev 2-11 PPGS Page 1
