This document contains information you need to know about your rental. We encourage you to read it, it might take you a little time now but will save you time later. The company that provides you with a rental vehicle in Iceland is: Alp hf. Holtavegur Reykjavik Iceland This may not be the same company that you made your booking with. To make a booking, change a booking or tell us about an issue while you re renting, contact our central reservation team: avis@avis.is Telephone: Our lines are open from 8am to 6pm, 7 days a week. In June, July and August our lines are open from 8am to 9pm, 7 days a week. To tell us about an issue after you ve returned the vehicle, please contact our customer service team by customerservice@avis.is Local currency is ISK (Icelandic Krona). Local VAT is 24% - all items are taxable except protections. Surcharges: Keflavik international airport: ISK 5.400,- (incl. tax) pr. rental starting at the international airport. 2 Additional Driver Information Additional drivers must be registered on the rental agreement and meet the same driving license criteria as the main driver. Additonal drivers surcharge is ISK 900,- pr. day. Maximum charge 7 days, ISK 6.300,- Age Requirements Passenger cars: the driver must be at least 20 years old. Drivers who are years old are subject to an additional Young Driver fee. Jeeps and SUVs: the driver must be at least 23 years old. Drivers who are years old are subject to an additional Young Driver fee. Large SUVs and Luxury cars: the driver must be at least 25 years old. Drivers who are 23-24years old are subject to an additional Young Driver fee. No maximum age limit. Young Driver surcharge is ISK 1.000,- (incl. tax) pr. day. Maximum 7 days (ISK 7.000,-) Drivers License and ID Requirements All drivers must have held their license for at least one year before the start of the rental except when renting our large SUVs and Luxury cars. Then the driver must have held a license for at least three years before the start of the rental. The rental of larger vehicles which require advanced licenses necessitates the driver to present the appropriate valid license (9-15 seater minibuses). Drivers must bring an international driving license or an offical translation if: The driving license was issued in a non-roman alphabet like Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Russian, Hebrew or Japanese or other similar non-roman alphabet based languages. The driving license was issued outside of Europe or North America. Payment Options In order to validate a rental you are required to present a credit card in your name. We cannot remotely authorise credit cards, nor can we accept authorisation from a credit card if the cardholder is not present. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Diners. In some instances we can accept Visa or Mastercard debit cards. Whether your debit card is acceptable or not depends on if we can authorize payment in same manner as we would a credit card. We do not accept cash, or prepaid credit cards.

3 Cancellations and No Show Charges Pre-paid bookings: If time of cancellation is before midnight on the day of booking we give you a full refund and take no fee for cancellation. If time of cancellation is at least 3 complete days before pick-up you will be charged a cancellation fee of ISK. The rest of your payment will be fully refunded. If time of cancellation is less than 3 complete days before pick-up we charge you the net cost of 3 days of your rental period. If the booking was for less than 3 days, we will retain the full amount. If time of cancellation is on the day of pick-up or if you do not cancel and fail to show up you get no refund. We will retain the full amount. Not pre-paid bookings (pay at arrival): If you do not cancel the booking and fail to show up we will charge you a penalty fee of ISK Taking Your Vehicle Outside the Country You are not permitted to travel with the vehicle outside of the country in any circumstances. Meet Late Arrival At Keflavik international airport (KEF): In the case of flight delays, we will keep your car ready for you at no extra cost as long as your flight information is in the booking so that we can be prepared for your arrival. Delivery and Collection Delivery & Collection not available. All rented vehicles are required to be returned at one of Avis & Budget Rental locations. In case it does not happen, a Collection charge of ISK (tax incl.) will be charged on customer s credit card. Request Pickup Only available at Reykjavik Downtown station: It is possible to request a hotel pick-up downtown Reykjavik between 8:30 and 17:00.

One Way Rentals Reykjavik to Keflavik: ISK (incl. tax) Keflavik to Reykjavik: free of charge Akureyri to/from Saudarkrokur: ISK (incl. tax) Between all other locations: ISK (incl. tax) Waiver and Protection Options CDW (TP+PAI included), SCDW, SAP (Sand & Ash Protection) Fuel charges At the start of the rental you will receive the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. Vehicles must be returned with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel, we reserve the right to charge you for the fuel as well as a service fee for doing so, unless you chose the Fuel up-front option at the beginning of the rental. If you chose to buy our pre-paid fuel option, this is not refundable unless the fuel tank is full. Fines Never charged on contract. Traffic Fines are not allowed to pay at rental location. Parking fine have to be paid at local banks otherwise Avis&Budget will charge the fine + a service fee of ISK. Speeding tickets are sent to Avis&Budget, service of ISK is charged, then police decides to charge the exact fine and contacts customer. Miscellaneous Information Surcharges Keflavik airport surcharge: ISK (incl. tax) per rental. Environment fee: IKR (incl. tax) per rental.
