6 ICAO - The GANP and the 39th Assembly Increase the capacity and improve the efficiency of the global civil aviation system Continuation from ANC 2012 and the initial endorsement at the 38th Assembly A Planning Document for Implementation GANP should be the comprehensive planning tool to support the development and implementation of a harmonised global air navigation system The (5th) version of the GANP - Global Air Navigation Plan: Obliges States to map their national or regional programmes against 26 May the 2016 harmonised GANP, but provides ICAO them EUR/NAT with Office far greater certainty of investment. Requires active collaboration among States through the PIRGs in order to coordinate initiatives within applicable regional Air Navigation Plans. Provides a vision of the evolution of the Global ATM system and the potential requirements to industry, for better anticipation in its products. 6 6

7 EANPG & ASBU Monitoring Regional planning for ASBU implementation EANPG/55 Conclusion 02: Approved the mechanism for monitoring and reporting the implementation of ASBU Block 0 modules, using the combined efforts of EUROCONTROL ESSIP/LSSIP mechanism and the ICAO EUR questionnaire. EUROCONTROL invited to consider extending the scope of the ESSIP/LSSIP reporting tool(s) to the ICAO EUR States outside of the ECAC area. Reuse existing European mechanisms to avoid duplication of reporting additional investments. Very good example of cooperation between two international organisations. EANPG/58 Conclusion 22: Include ASBU Block 0 modules (CCO and AMET) into the list of modules monitored within the ICAO EUR Region. Continue to promote the collaborative implementation monitoring approach. Report is part of eanp Vol III and of the ICAO Global Air Navigation Report 7

12 ASBU Implementation Monitoring Report: The Dashboard and the Outlook for 2018 The information presented in the planning views and implementation progress are summarised by two tables, aimed at giving an overall and straightforward understanding of the ASBUs Implementation status so far. ASBU Block 0 Implementation Dashboard = number of States that have achieved implementation overall rate of Completion status by end It can be used to compare, in a simple way, the progress achieved in different ICAO Regions ASBU Block 0 Modules Implementation Outlook for 2018 = the Completion status (number of States and rates) foreseen to be achieved by end 2018, i.a.w. the planning dates reported by States 12
