START DAY: Every Tuesday & Saturday Day 1: Arrive Kuching Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and proceed for Kuching city tour. The city center is well preserved with ornate Chinese Temples, many colonial-style architectures and a beautiful waterfront. Visit the famous Sarawak Museum & Cat Museum, the Main Bazaar, Chinatown and the Old State Mosque. Proceed to the homemade Kek Lapis bakery and see the laborious and intricate processing of this delicious cake well-loved by the locals. Day 2: Kuching Iban Longhouse Resort (B, L, D) Check-out and proceed to Aiman Batang Ai Longhouse Retreat & Resort. The expedition takes about 4-hour car ride passing through scenic greenery countryside. En route, a brief stopover at a small native town called Serian to experience the busy wet market where you will find some rare jungle produce and you may wish to get a visiting gift to the Iban host. After lunch, stop at Lachau, a small popular cowboy town where the natives do barter trade. Arrive at a man-made jetty and take a 15-minute boat ride to Aiman Batang Ai Longhouse Resort. Day 3: Iban Longhouse Safari - Kuching (B, L) After breakfast, check out of Aiman Batang Ai Longhouse and proceed for the Lemanak Longhouse Safari. Take a 45-minute boat ride and arrive at the Longhouse, mingle with the longhouse folks to have better understanding on their communal style of living. You will watch a warriors welcome dance while sipping the welcome drink. Thereafter will demonstrate their favorite cock fighting and their skill of using a blowpipe. After lunch at the longhouse, return to Kuching. En route, visit Sarawak Pottery Factory. You will be fascinated by the delicate and creative work.
