4 ATTACHMENT 1 SEMINAR LACAC/FAA/IATA ON UNMANNED AEROSPACE SYSTEMS AND FATIGUE RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 25 to 27 July, 2016) OBJECTIVE, SPEAKERS AND AGENDA UNMANNED AEROSPACE SYSTEMS (25 and 26 July 2016) OBJECTIVE As unmanned aerospace systems (UAS) also known as recreational drones continue to become more popular, it is essential that civil aviation authorities find practical solutions to ensure the safety of flight and integration within national airspace systems. This course will examine human factors, airspace integration of UAS, and ground safety protocols as aviation authorities develop new regulations to cover the operation of unmanned aerospace systems. With the UAS sector quickly becoming the fastest growing segment within aviation industry, it is essential that airspace integration occurs without reducing existing capacity, decreasing safety or negatively impacting current operators. SPEAKERS International UAS experts to include representatives from Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA). AGENDA The contents of the seminar can be summarized as follows: Safety of flight and UAS integration within national airspace systems; UAS regulation overview; Education, Compliance and Enforcement; Certification of UAS; Future trends affecting the UAS industry; Communicating operating rules.

5 ATTACHMENT 1 SEMINAR LACAC/FAA/IATA O N UNMANNED AEROSPACE SYSTEMS AND FATIGUE RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 25 to 27 July, 2016) OBJECTIVE, SPEAKERS AND AGENDA FATIGUE RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (27July 2016) OBJECTIVE Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS) consists of organizational processes and procedures to control fatigue risk in aviation operations. This course will highlight the data-driven and scientifically based process that allows for continuous monitoring and management of safety risks associated with fatigue-related errors. Participants will learn to use formal processes and procedures for measuring, modeling, and mitigating fatigue risk in a specific operational setting. Overall, FRMS complements prescriptive flight time, duty time, and rest period requirements. SPEAKERS International FRMS experts to include representatives from Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (LACAC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and International Federation of Air Line Pilots Association (IFALPA). Place and date The Seminar LACAC/FAA/IATA will take place in Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences ASCA, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from July 25 to 27, 2016: Complejo Aeronáutico Dominicano, Punta Caucedo, Santo Domingo Este ASCA is a center of excellence in formation and specialized training for aviation personnel in the region. It is certified by ICAO as a Regional Centre of Excellence in Education (SBRT) and Certified as a full member of Trainair Plus Program.. 2.
