6 Nano-augmentation For Airbus, the aim is to augment existing or new aircraft materials and structures with nanomaterials with significantly enhanced properties, enabling: Improvement of the structural and functional performance, and therefore Reduction of weight and cost Nanocomposites for Future Airbus Airframes 09.
