Langford Board Room Command Post(s): CURRENT INCIDENT STATUS Tropical Storm Irma Update: Irma is currently a tropical storm with sustained winds of 70 mph, still producing some gusts to near hurricane force Located 30 miles NNE of Cedar Key, FL Movement NNW at 18 mph Potential/Current Impacts: Hurricane Warnings have subsided. Tropical Storm winds anticipated to end at 1100 hours. Rain bands will continue to taper off. The threat for tornadoes has decreased significantly. Watch is expected to expire at 1100 hours. MCO Operational Actions: Stanchions remain in place on Terminal Level 3 to keep personnel away from glass areas. Terminal curfew lifted at 0600 hours. 2 Communication plan continues for Family and Friends sheltering in place at Hyatt. Overnight indoor damage assessment identified minor leaks, some ceiling damage, damage to exterior canopies. Maintenance and Ops staff continue to assess damage in terminal Exterior damage assessment will commence when winds reduce to 20 mph NOTAM continues in effect, MCO cessation of commercial operations continues until further notice We will continue to actively monitor the weather conditions and work closely with the National Weather Service and state, county, and city Emergency Management officials. Current Goals & Objectives: Continue to execute the Airport Emergency Preparedness Plan by providing a safe and secure operating environment for our hotel guests, partners, and employees. Continue collaborating with internal and external airport partners to implement protective measures in a timely manner to ensure the airport is prepared. Airlines to update websites to indicate cancelled flights. Unified Command has been implemented with Airport Operations as the lead. Continue managing and sustaining GOAA employee/friends & family shelter in place accommodations. Continue mitigating all safety & security concerns. Identify and prioritize recovery concerns once threat is mitigated. o Airlines to provide estimate on when they will resume operations o Exterior assessments to begin when winds reduce to 20 mph Continue to provide updates to airport community on airport operations and weather conditions. o PIO to issue communications. Identify damage assessment teams and processes. o Priorities: 1. Coordinate with OPD to assess roadways 2. APM contractors will be recalled on site 3. When safe to do so, GOAA will begin assessments with focus on life safety, security, restoration of operations o Logistics to develop a refueling plan. o Operations to develop a plan to recall passengers from local shelter. Continue maintaining appropriate documentation. All operational requests, changes in schedules or informational items should continue to be routed through the Airport Operations Center (AOC) at extension Any facility issues, requests for Visqueen, sand bags, or other facility related items should be routed through the Airport Maintenance Dispatch at extension 4000, press 2 for the Central Plant Operator. Orange County Operational Actions: Curfew issued for 9/10/17 at 1900 hours through 9/11/17 at 1800 hours. State of emergency continues. Shelters (general population, pet-friendly, host) remain open. 3 Mobile homes evacuation order has been issued for Orange County. Approximately 274,000 residents without power (135,000 in Seminole, 62,000 in Osceola). City of Orlando Operational Actions Escalated EOC to Level I at noon on 9/10/17. Safety Message: NO TUNNEL VISION Watch for: Electrical hazards, LOCK OUT TAG OUT while inspecting High voltage areas (APM). Water hazards, especially when over road ways. Structural stability - send photos and texts to KTOTH@goaa.org Equipment- capabilities of equipment with capable operators. Fuel Hazards and threats to life and property PPE- hard hats, gloves, eyewear, footwear and vests. Communications ensure adequate batteries for radios and essential equipment. Personnel buddy systems and teams stay together, no freelancing. Team leaders enforce safety, monitor for fatigue, maintain workable pace and rotate accordingly. KEEP CALM and FOCUS on task at hand.
