2 FAA Air Traffic Organization Operational Contingency Plan (OCP) A Plan: to prepare for the potential loss of a major ATC unit following possible scenarios that include, but are not limited to systems failure, terrorist actions, floods, fires and pandemics. A Framework: for facilities to respond, with precoordinated steps, as effectively as possible to these unplanned events. Administration 2

3 OCP Air Traffic s primary responsibilities are to protect the safety of aircraft and the safety of air traffic facility personnel. Automated Contingency Tool, version 2 (ACT2) developed for each facility The CAUSES and SOLUTIONS to the events are addressed by other appropriate offices. 3 Administration 3

12 Event Management Center Mitigating impacts of hurricanes, earthquakes, or other natural or manmade disasters which impede NAS operations by coordinating efforts to return the NAS to its normal state and assist in sending relief to a damaged region. Administration 12
