QL--"-I_-_O_~ _ 1 [Airport Lease and Use Agreement Modifications] 2 APPROVING MODIFICATIONS TO THE TERMS OF AIRLINE/AIRPORT LEASE AND USE 3 AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE CITY AND VARIOUS AIRLINES TO ALLOW SUCH 4 AIRLINES TO RELOCATE INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT OPERATIONS TO THE NEW 5 INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL. 6 WHEREAS, Alaska Airline, China Airlines, Japan Airlines, Mexicana Airlines, 7 Northwest Airlines, Philippine Airlines, Singapore Airlines and United Airlines, conduct 8 international flight operations at San Francisco International Airport's Central Termina! 9 Buiiding ("CTB") pursuant to Airline/Airport Lease and Use Agreements listed in Attachment A; 10 and, 11 WHEREAS, Pursuant to its Master Plan Expansion Program the Airport is constructing 12 a new international terminal building ("ITB") to which, upon completion, all international flight 13 activity currently located in the CTS wil! relocate; and, 14 WHEREAS, The above referenced airlines and the City desire to amend the terms of 15 said lease and Use Agreements to reflect the relocation of certain premises from the etb to 16 the ITB, to provide for a common use approach to certain essential operating space and to 17 provide the Airport with flexibility to address growth and change in the air transportation 18 industry; and 19 WHEREAS, The Airport Commission adopted Resolutions Numbers , , , , , , , , on September 21, 1999, approving 21 lease and Use modifications allowing the above referenced Airlines to relocate their 22 international operations from the CTB to the ITB; and 23 WHEREA.S, The Lease and Use Agreement of United Airlines must also be modified to 24 reflect certain premises changes in the North Terminal as described in Attachment C; now, 25 therefore, be it AIRPORT COMMISSION BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Page 1 9/28/99 h.dxiard resolution - new it lease and use rnooificetion.oot
