The Championships will be held on the Vaal River, South Africa from the 2nd October to the 8th October The venue is approximately one hour s drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. It is a great honour for SABAA to host the 2017 World Championships in South Africa and we will maintain the high standard that has been set by the previous host Nations. The Championships will be hosted from the Emerald Resort & Casino ( ) which is situated approximately in the middle of the fishable area of the 52 kilometre long river. News Letters We will be sending out a couple of newsletters that will FULLY cover the sequence of events and assist everyone in understanding what can be expected at this year World Championships. This will eliminate a lot of unnecessary discussions in the Team Managers Meetings. It will also make the Championship more enjoyable for the participants. This will also be a great tool for answering all questions that may be asked of the organizers. Communication In order for us to get the required information to all, PLEASE provide us with ALL addresses of managers, anglers, reserves, and delegates that are going to attend. Drop Box SABAA has set up a Drop Box account and will be sharing a huge amount of information, pictures, videos and maps for all the participants. In order to invite participants to join we need their addresses. This information will be very valuable and a great insight into what you can expect to find on the Vaal River. Affiliated to:

2 Entry Fee SABAA is very pleased to announce that the cost for the Championship will be lower than was charged in many other time before. This is largely due to exchange rates in our favour. In order for SABAA to finalize and ensure that we have adequate accommodation, we require all Nations to complete FORM A and it to Wendy Watson (ksamkin@telkomsa.net) before the 30 th June Please note this is purely for planning purposes. Entry forms and payment MUST be submitted to SABAA before the 25th August Please note that due to the South African Regulations we are not allowed to accept cash payments in foreign currencies. Fee per Nation (rule 55) Euro FORM C The following fees are for the full package and include the following: 1) Accommodation:- Two Anglers per Room Managers and Reserves One per room. 2) Boat Hire: - Boat + Skipper + Fuel + Battery Charging + Maintenance + Available spare boat and insurance. 3) Meals: Breakfast + Lunch / Boat Packs + Dinners + Welcoming and Prize giving Dinners. 4) Refreshments in the rooms. 5) Public / Civil Liability Insurance. 6) Trophies and Medals. Nations choosing this option must provide the following documentation and inspection to the organisers before the commencement of the tournament: Valid Skippers Licences, Valid and adequate boat insurance, Valid Certificate Of Fitness by SADSAA, as well as all the safety equipment required as in the SABAA rules and regulations. NB. Nations choosing this option must please think carefully. Remember you are in Africa and SECURITY is our primary concern for all visiting Nations. However security is not a big issue provided you do not go into risky areas. The Emerald Resort has excellent security and it is right on the water where we are hosting the Tournament. Tuesday 3 rd October 2017 (Practise Day One) 07h00 - (first flight) - start of the first training sessions. 16h00 - (first flight) - end of the first training session.

4 17h30 - meeting of the National Teams at the Clubhouse for team photographs. 18h00 - depart for the opening ceremony at the Emerald Casino Resort. Wednesday 4 th October 2017 (Practise Day Two) 07h00 - (first flight) - start of the second training sessions. 16h00 - (first flight) - end of the second training session. 17h30 - Managers/Captains Meeting. Thursday 5 th October 2017 (Tournament Day One) 07h00 - (first flight) - start of the first competition session. 16h00 - (first flight) - end of the first competition session and weigh-in. 18h00 - disclosure of team rankings and Managers/Captains Meeting.

5 Friday 6 th October 2017 (Tournament Day Two) 07h00 - (first flight) - start of the second competition session. 16h00 - (first flight) - end of the second competition session and weigh-in. 18h00 - disclosure of team rankings and Managers/Captains Meeting. Saturday 7 th October 2017 (Tournament Day Three) 07h00 - (first flight) - start of the third competition session.

6 16h00 - (first flight) - end of the third competition session and weigh-in. 19h00 - depart by bus to the Emerald Hotel. (2 minute drive) 19h30 - prize giving ceremony and gala dinner in the Emerald Hotel banquet hall. 23h00 - buses depart every half hour back to the chalets. (2 minute drive) Sunday 8 th October 2017 (Departure Day) 07h00 - Breakfast in the anglers chalets 11h00 - All Chalets to be vacated and keys handed in to the Organisers The World Championship tournament will conform to the Official F.I.P.S.e.d. Rules of International For National Championships. (Official Rules BLACK BASS approved by F.I.P.S.e.d.-Rome (Italy) /11/2014 or as amended. The World Championship local tournament committee would be organised and run by the SABAA President Mr. Craig Fraser. It would comprise of two sub committees of two to three members in each and under Mr. Barry Grove (SABAA Executive) and Mr. Mike Milligan.
