6 The 21 th Annual Event a proud history This is the 21 st year for the Thunder in the Valley Air Show in Columbus, the largest alcohol and tobacco free outdoor events held annually. The air show was created as a way to bring the love of aviation to the fans in the Chattahoochee Valley and to assist youth organizations in our area. Thunder in the Valley Air Show offers a tremendous cross-promotional vehicle for companies of all sizes. Our objective is to increase region-wide awareness for your organization since air shows in general attract fans from a 100-mile radius of the show site.
