3 Aviation Maintenance Technician Hiring & Qualifications Here is what it takes to be a successful Aviation Maintenance Technician with American: Troubleshooting disassembly Checking and cleaning Repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, taxing or towing airplanes and/or run-up engines De-icing aircraft Maintain the air worthiness of aircraft and all components while in service or while undergoing overhaul and/or modification. Certify for quality of own workmanship, including signing mechanical flight releases for all work done on field work. Chase own parts in work positions where stock chasers are not utilized and/or available Work according to FAA and Company regulations and procedures and instructions Complete forms connected with work assignments. May also be responsible for: cleaning aircraft windshields; connecting/removing ground power and ground start units; pushing out/towing of aircraft and related guideman functions, fueling/defueling, de-icing of aircraft. We are looking for great people who have: High School diploma or GED Valid driver's license Verifiable, hands-on experience of the actual time spent in the repair, maintenance, overhaul or manufacture of aircraft required o 24 months on aircraft with a gross weight of 70,000 lbs (including fuel) or engines with 15,000 lbs or more of thrust o o --and/or-- 48 months on aircraft with gross weight between 12,500 lbs & 70,000 lbs (including fuel) or engines with 5,000 lbs to 15,000 lbs of thrust Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License (Must provide license number and date of issue during application process) Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days-off Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA) Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges * The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the Transport Workers Union Collective Bargaining Agreement.

4 Dispatcher Hiring & Qualifications Dispatchers are jointly responsible with the pilot in command for the preflight planning and operational control of flights. Dispatchers are responsible for monitoring the progress of the flight, issuing information or instructions necessary for the safety of the flight, and cancelling or re-dispatching the flight (amending the release) if deemed necessary by either the Dispatcher or pilot in command. Here is what it takes to be a successful dispatcher with American: The Dispatcher has the authority to release, defer and cancel flights in accordance with regulations and company policies and with this authority comes responsibility and accountability for all decisions. You will track taxi times and issue direction to stay within the DOT Three Hour Tarmac rule. You will plan flights based on safety, efficiency and customers comfort. It s your responsibility to keep the stations informed of flight status changes such as anticipated delays, cancellations, diversions, etc. and coordinate aircraft and crews for optimum utilization during irregular operations. We are looking for great people who: Possess High School diploma or GED Are a minimum of 23 years of age Possess a current Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation Have earned a four year college degree preferably with an Aviation, Science or Business major, or Five years aviation experience which includes at least four years of operational experience, or Three years aviation experience, which includes at least two years of operational experience and a two year associates college degree preferably with an Aviation, Science or Business major Are able to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required Can fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable Are able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable *The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the Transport Workers Union Collective Bargaining Agreement.

5 Engineering Co-Op Co-ops act as entry level Engineers within our fleet or powerplant engineering departments. Typically, the assigned department manager pairs each Co-op with a mentor. Fleet Engineering: maintains and supports aircraft systems, structures, interiors, avionics, and inflight entertainment maintenance programs including repair, assembly, inspection and modification of aircraft and component parts. Fleet Engineers develop maintenance programs and specifications, investigate reliability problems, and design/develop corrective actions and programs. Engineers also provide technical interface with manufacturers and suppliers regarding repairs, design, improvements, and new equipment requirements. Powerplant Engineering: maintains and supports maintenance programs for aircraft turbine engines including repair, assembly, inspection, and test of engines, component parts, and accessories. Powerplant Engineers determine economic feasibility, develop repairs and repair processes of existing unserviceable turbine engine hardware. These Engineers will handle failure analysis, repair development, scrap review, engineering research, technical and economic decisions related to repair and maintenance of turbine engines and components. Here is what it takes to be a successful in an Engineering Co-Op role with American: Successful completion of sophomore year or approximately 60 hours towards a Bachelor Degree A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 Eligibility to work permanently in the United States Passing of a drug screen and background check provided by AA Availability for two work cycles (or at least 3 semesters) is preferred Current enrollment in an undergraduate Engineering program in a discipline related to: Aeronautical/Aerospace Electrical Mechanical Computer Metallurgical Civil Commitment: 6-7-month term January-August or June-December Locations: Technical Operations Facilities in Tulsa, OK, Charlotte, NC, and Fort Worth, TX

6 Job Title: Engineer Here is what it takes to be a successful Engineer with American: Investigate operational, reliability and safety issues, develops corrective actions and programs at aircraft and component level Ensure compliance with applicable Regulations and Airworthiness Directives Provide engineering support to flight, Q/C and aircraft production in addition to supporting engineering related programs and objectives Maintain knowledge of current and pending regulations, issues, specifications and programs which affect area of responsibility Provide technical interface with manufacturers and suppliers regarding design improvements and new aircraft equipment requirements Level to be determined based on qualifications and background We are looking for great people who: Possess a BS / MS degree from an accredited college/university in engineering disciplines such as aeronautical / aerospace / mechanical / electrical Are self-motivated and have the ability to identify causes and develop solutions using resources at hand; who can also implement and coordinate solutions with multiple departments and work skills even under challenging conditions Possess excellent analytical, communication, planning and organizational skills Have 3 to 5 years working history as engineer with aircraft systems / components or related experience Have prior airline or airplane manufacturer experience (preferred) Have experience with aircraft electrical and/or mechanical systems (preferred)
