Change in the order of IAT/AAR interline agreement checks in Plating Carrier Logic (PLAT-Y) and non-default Plating Carrier Logic (PLAT-N) for electronic ticketing, fare quote and fare shopping for booked interline itineraries and fare shopping for un-booked interline itineraries. Note: interline agreements in fare shopping for un-booked interline itineraries will continue to be checked only between plating carrier and marketing carrier as the interline agreement checks between plating carrier and operating carrier are to be included in future plans. Update advise new load to production date of 25-OCT-10. This enhancement was previously scheduled to load on 11-OCT-10. 3 Overview Interline agreements in Plating Carrier Logic (PLAT-Y) and non-default Plating Carrier Logic (PLAT-N) for Electronic Ticketing are validated from the Airline Agreement Record (AAR) and Interline Electronic Ticketing Agreement Table (IAT). Plating Carrier Logic for interline Electronic Ticketing will be enhanced to check for the existence of an Electronic Ticketing interline agreement in the IAT before checking the existence of a Paper Ticket agreement in the AAR when determining the plating carrier to the journey. Customer Benefit Increase in the number of interline itineraries that will qualify for Electronic Ticketing by selecting the appropriate interline plating carrier to the journey. Detail and Customer Examples The interline Electronic Ticketing Agreement Table (IAT) will be given preference in Plating Carrier Logic in determining the plating carrier to the journey in interline electronic ticketing, fare quote, fare shopping for booked interline itineraries and fare shopping for un-booked interline itineraries. The Airline Agreement Record (AAR) table will only be checked when all carriers in the itinerary fail to meet all IAT interline agreement checks for electronic ticketing. Currently in Plating Carrier Logic and non-default Plating Carrier Logic the AAR is checked prior to the IAT and both tables must be in sync to meet all electronic ticketing interline agreement checks for plating carrier in Plating Carrier Logic and non-default Plating Carrier Logic. The AAR agreement check will continue to be performed first when a Paper Ticket (PT) is requested. 16 Glossary Term AAR IAT Marketing Carrier Operating Carrier PLAT Definition Airline Agreement Record >DT/AAR/DIS-xx Interline Electronic Ticketing Agreement Table >DT/IAT/DISxx Marketing Carrier means the airline whose Airline Designator is recorded as the transporting carrier on the electronic flight/value coupon(s). Operating Carrier means the carrier used in the codeshare situation when different from the Marketing Carrier. The PLAT field in the Agency Agreement Table (AAT) defines whether the agency has Plating Carrier Logic. Page 16
