General Provisions: Modell: Wettbewerbsgelände Competition flights Flugwiederholungen: Start: Landung: Review of flight performance and landing: Endwertung: Advice for competitive
tendering General Provisions: a) F3B-RES is a competitive class for radio-controlled gliders with A maximum of two (2) meter wingspan in predominantly timber. Control is via elevator and rudder and spoilers as landing flaps (on the wing upper surface at least 5 cm before the end strip is placed). The flaps can be controlled with one or two servos. Starts with a rubber cord (s. Point 6). b) definition remote-controlled glider: A model aircraft which is not provided with a drive device and its Impetus on aerodynamic forces is based on the immovable remaining surfaces act. The models must be off the ground by remote control by the competitor being controlled. c) In competition at least four (4) qualifying rounds are flown. For each preliminary round participants divided into groups. The results of each group are in parts per thousand Normalized to arrive at comparable ratings of the flight groups, although the weather conditions during a round change. The four (4), but A maximum of eight (8) participants flying with the highest ratings from the preliminary total a fly-off with two (2) other passages as finals in a group, to Determination of final classification. The group size in the Fly-Off corresponds to the group size the preliminary rounds. d) The competitor may use a maximum of two competing models (2). The models However, any time may be changed within a passage only when the first Launched model in a radius of up to 15 meters to the assigned
Landing point has been stored. e) The participant may invest up to three (3) Insert own assistants. This allowed him the model Start and retrieving, inform him when flying on weather, flight or time frame and supervise the launch system. At least one helper has to constantly ensure that one s own launch system other party not be prejudiced offs. This requires that the bungee cords immediately after release assigned to the Runways are withdrawn. Page 2 DAeC SegelflugM Class F3B-RES (36-534) German Aero Club ev - Federal Commission Modellflug 2/6 In crosswind conditions the Director may determine that the remote from the wind Starter begin with the start, so that the cables do not come to lie one above the other. f) The organizer should have official scorekeeper / timekeeper available. If this is not the case, the helper of pilots stop the flight time, the organizer but takes Sampling regular inspections on the flight times. Deviations of more than three (3) Seconds in favor of the participant lead to a zero score flight. g) The landing points are always taken by an official scorekeeper. 2. Model: 2.1. The model consists normally of wings, fuselage and tail. Flying wing models are do not have the trunk and height or vertical stabilizer, or none of these components
also accepted if they have a total of only two (2) control valves. Every these control valves must be actuated only by one servo. Otherwise apply the building codes for the tail models, mutatis mutandis. The model is created in predominantly timber. This means: a) In the wings are only allowed for the spars, wing leading edge connectors and GRP / CFRP / Kevlar pipes or GRP / CRP / Kevlar profiles are used (otherwise wood). b) The tail boom for the tail unit may consist of a GRP / CRP / Kevlar tube or profile exist. The pipe / profile may (seen from behind) a maximum of up to half the surface depth the wing enough. c) The wooden hull may to increase the strength on the surface with GRP / CRP / Kevlar be coated. d) All Ruderanlenkungsteile are exempted from CFK / GFK constraint Not allowed is the use a) an all-grp / CFRP / Kevlar or other plastic hull (eg Expert, EPP etc.), b) an in GRP / CRP / Kevlar monocoque construction started wing or tail, also no GRP / CRP / Kevlar D-Box, c) a stabilizer or wing made of GRP / CFRP / Kevlar foam planked or otherwise Plastic, d) fixed and retractable devices for braking the model in Landing on the ground (eg bolts, serrated protruding devices, etc.). At the bottom of the model may not protrude out the up to two Towhook (size: each 5 mm wide x 15 mm high, seen from the front). The Towhook can be adjustable, however, may the adjustment or notching not via the remote control,
e) of ballast, the interior is not in the model and is secured to the cell, f) any transfer of information from the model aircraft to the competitor, with Except for the signal strength, the receiver temperature and the voltage of the Receiver battery (no variometer) g) of telecommunication systems on the airfield by competitor and their helpers (radios and phones included). Page 3 DAeC SegelflugM Class F3B-RES (36-534) German Aero Club ev - Federal Commission Modellflug 3/6 3. Competition terrain a) The competition must take place on a terrain that is flat and a relatively provides the smallest possible chance to hang gliding or wave soaring. b) The flying site should have a designated starting line. The starting line is transverse to Wind direction and needs for each competitor a marked Start point feature that are at least eight (8) feet apart. Starting Line and Attachment line of high start hose are approx.145 meters apart (possible Exception see item 6). The attachment points for bungee cords have the same Distance as the starting points. c) The selected landing points should be) at least eight meters apart (. 8 She There are at least ten (10) meters away from the starting points downwind. d) The country points and the starting points must always be clearly
marked. Of the Distance the fuselage nose to the landing point with a tape measure or a measuring line determined. e) a landing field is determined by the organizer. Landings outside the landing field found no vote. 4. Competition flights a) The competitor is entitled to at least four (4) official flights. b) The competitor is entitled to an unlimited number of attempts during the reference period. c) It is considered as an official attempt when the model the hand of the contestant or the helper has left under rubber rope tension. d) In the case of several attempts, the result of the last flight is the official result. e) The Director has the right to interrupt the competition and the take-off distance rebuild, when the wind direction deviates too much or even comes tailwind. He can entirely cancel the competition if wind of more than six (6) meters / second measured at the starting line in two (2) meters above the ground for a period of at least one (1) minute prevails. 5. Flight reps: The competitor is entitled to a new execution time when a) his model during the high-offs or in flight with another flying or starting model collides, b) he is prevented by lying about his starting device other starting device at start (first or repeat start) c) hindered or aborted its flight by an event that is beyond its control has been.
To claim his flight repetition in accordance with the reasons set out above, must convince the competitor that the official timekeeper or the Contest Director have perceived disability and it must be model as soon as possible landing. Page 4 DAeC SegelflugM Class F3B-RES (36-534) German Aero Club ev - Federal Commission Modellflug 4/6 Sets the competitor s flight to the disability continues, it is assumed that he waived his right to a new transit time. 6. Start: a) The starter sets are organized and selected by the organizer. b) is started with a rubber rope consisting of 15 ± 0.5 meter rubber hose and 100 meters nylon rope with a minimum diameter of 0.7 mm with a knotted into flags. c) The rubber hose must at an extract to a maximum force of 45 meters Not exceed 4 kilograms. The deviation of the rubber hoses used between themselves must not exceed 0.4 kg. d) At airfields which a rubber rope length of about 145 meters in the extended state not allow because of their size, the organizer can be a shortening of the required Make nylon rope and a corresponding shortening of the flight time. In the Competitive tender (see point 10) should be noted. 7. Landing: a) Each competitor is ahead of his competition flight has its own landing point
assigned. each competitor is responsible for ensuring that he / she is always the right Used landing point. b) During the landing process only the pilot and his assistant is allowed in Within 10 meters to stop the landing point. More helpers and official Timekeeper remain at the starting line. c) After landing, the pilot may retrieve their models within the framework of time, if this other member of the group, and their models are not hindered. The Models may be used by participants or his helpers after landing, which are counted should not be touched until the official judges of the organizer Has made distance measurement (otherwise the country Rating zero: see point 8.2 f). d) landing plug is not allowed. A plug landing is when the short end of the Not resting on the ground after the landing model. 8. Review of flight performance and landing: 8.1. Evaluation of flight performance: The time starts with the notching of the model from the towline and ends a) with a stop of the model b) with the end of the frame time The maximum flight time of six (6) minutes (360 s) within nine (9) Minutes (540 s) Time frame. Achieved the pilot within the framework of time more than six (6) minutes (360 s), which over time is of the six (6) minutes (360 s) stripped. The flight time is recorded in seconds without rounding.
