10 STAGE CHECK FINDINGS Guys you are not supposed to set up the frequencies or approaches for the students, they need to do it themselves every flight, to practice We had a student that fail for steep turns in the stage check, cfi did one flight and he pass the SC but fail the check ride for steep turns. We need to make sure the student is proficient before his checkride

The co-pilot of this Australian budget flyer watched in disbelief as his colleague chose one of the most dangerous times in flight to start playing with his phone. A near-miss with the ground sans landing gear jolted the pilot back to reality; the plane eventually touched down safely. 29
