6 Future Activities Feasibility study DCT FRA Development Validation, Finalization Extension Next steps of POLFRA development: Removal of ATS route network, To extend POLFRA into cross-border FAB Baltic Free Route Airspace, Potential extension of POLFRA/FAB Baltic FRA to cross-border FRA with already existing (or planned) FRA of neighboring FABs (e.g. DK-SE FAB, FABEC, FAB CE) and countries (e.g Ukraine, Belarus). 6

7 Concept of Operations main assumptions FRA with Intermediate Points Area of applicability: ACC Warszawa AoR +/- delageted airspaces (delegated airspace issues to be finalized) No segment length restriction Trajectories shall not plan closer than 5NM to the lateral border Compulsory Connecting Routes for main departure / arrival flows (marginal flows connect via any A / D point)withinand outsidefir EPWW The planning of DCT segments that are partially outside the lateral limits of FRA EPWW (multiple re-entry segments) is not allowed; Generally flights may not be planned through active TRAs, TSAs, prohibited, restricted or danger areas (detailed definition in RAD Appendix 7). Intermediate points must be used to avoid the active areas; The ATS route network within FIR EPWW will be maintained for transition period (duration of the period not decided yet). 7

9 Feeding routes to/from TMA Warszawa In case of airportswithin TMA Warszawa, feeding routes will be used to stabilize the traffic flows to/from main airports. Additional restrictions (sectors) for planning arrivals to TMA Warszawamight be used to further stabilize the traffic flows. 9

10 Connecting Routes from/to nearby airports Additionalrestrictionsfor mainairportslocatedin close vicinity of FIR EPWW Based on existing transfer conditions: Traffic proceeding inbound or outbound airports located in close vicinity of FIR EPWW shall be planned via relevant FRA arrival, departure points using mandatory intermediate points; Mandatory segments for traffic to/from LKKB/LKPR/LKVO Mandatory segments for departures. Mandatory segments for arrivals. 10

12 EN-ROUTE FRA RESTRICTIONS Example of restrictions based on waypoint: to reduce complexity, to prevent sector clipping/re-entries, with objective to maximise throughput and maintain capacity. Example of traffic from TOMTI: Green available for planning Orange ENTRY FRA points not available for planning Teal, dark blue EXIT FRA points not available for planning (ENTRY EXIT point restrictions) Purple, blue pairs of points have to include DIMEX or ADVAB point in planning to channel traffic 12

14 COORDINATION WITH NEIGHBOURING FIRs AND AUs First workshops with FIR Sweden (ESAA) dedicated to preparing the rules of FRA in delegated Airspace (MIDSEA and RÖNNE SOUTH) - tests of possible solutions are ongoing. Consultation with all the neighbouring FIRs ongoing (FBZ in the vicinity of border, changes to LoAs). Information Day forneighbouringansps,cfsps and AOs planned in October

15 Real Time Simulation Five days of Real Time Simulation (end of December 2017 beginning of January 2018) Participation of 18 ATCOs (ACC) different ACC ATCO work experience (from 1 to 26 years, on average 11 years), Total hours simulated: 16, 6 different traffic samples, based on most traffic demanding days from summer 2017, 7 different sector configurations tested, Both considered options(fl95/fl305) simulated, Objective was to validate theoretic airspace design, gainfeedback from ATCOsand to check which lower limit of POLFRA is favorable from operational point of view. 15

16 PANSA - Dependencies Overlapping areas issue in NM systems -NM software release (expected autumn 2018), Implementation of updated version of local ASM tool CAT2.0 (planned update autumn 2018), Publication of FBZs(planned autumn 2018), B2B interface between NM systems and CAT2.0 for automated processing/transferring of the AUP/UUP (tests are ongoing). 16
