3 1. TOTAL TRAFFIC 32 Last 13 months average daily traffic 31 Average daily traffic for last 5 Years With a decrease of.1%, traffic in July 213 remains almost at the same level as in July 212. Traffic in 213 continues to follow 21 and 212 levels Average daily traffic in July for last 5 Years Intermediate Forecast dated % % % -.9% -1.2% 12 months rolling traffic trend -1.7% -1.9% -2.1% -2.6% -2.8% -2.6% -2.8% -2.6% -2.4% -2.4% -2.3% % July traffic was in line with the STATFOR intermediate forecast of May 213. This graph shows the variation in average daily traffic for the last 12-month period relative to that for the 12-month period before. The average daily traffic from August 212 to July 213 decreased by 2.3% relative to that from August 211 to July 212. 4 In July 213, 5 of the top 1 airports had less traffic compared to July 212. The largest traffic increases were recorded at Istanbul Sabiha (+14.4%), Stockholm Arlanda (+13.6%), Alicante (+12.2%) and Istanbul- Ataturk (+9.2%) airports. The largest decreases in traffic were at Madrid Barajas (-1.5%) and Athens (-7.2%) airports. Four of the top 1 air operators had less traffic compared to July 212: Lufthansa (-6.4%), Air France (-3.4%), Air Berlin (-5.) and Alitalia (-8.1%). The highest traffic growth was observed at Travel Servis (+43.), Monarch Airlines Ltd (+19.5%), Pegasus Hava (+19.), Turkish Airlines (+18.2%) and SAS (+17.7%). Ukraine International (AUI) flights increased by 73% due to changes in fleet size and route network following the cessation of operations of Aerosvit. Airline consolidation and restructuring explains most of the significant traffic decreases and increases: Finnair (-21.4%), Olympic (-22.1%), Air Nostrum (-17.3%) and Finnish Commuter Airlines (+54.7%). 5 Traffic increases in July were observed in Chisinau, Odessa, Simferopol and Oslo ACCs and the traffic decreased in Milano, Ljubljana, Madrid, Canarias and Tampere ACCs. The decrease in Munich and the increase in Karlsruhe ACC is mainly a consequence of the airspace transfer between these ACCs (VOLMUK project). NM Network Operations Report Analysis July 213 4

Figures are the average daily delays in minutes. Marseille, Barcelona, Karlsruhe, Vienna and Langen ACCs recorded high delays due to ATC capacity, ATC staffing and en-route weather (thunderstorms). Delays in Warsaw were generated by ATC capacity, ATC staffing and technical problems (FDPS) on the 1 th July and 18 th July (communications). Paris and Maastricht ACCs were affected by thunderstorms. London ACC had delays due to adverse weather conditions (thunderstorms), ATC capacity and technical problems (conflict alert system) on the 9 th July. Delays in Nicosia ACC were due to ATC capacity and staffing. Reims, Brest and Bordeaux ACCs generated delays due to ATC capacity and en-route weather (mainly thunderstorms). Zurich, London Heathrow and Palma Mallorca airports recorded delays due to airport infrastructure and weather, with London/Heathrow experiencing a significant capacity reduction on the 12 th July due an aircraft incident. Frankfurt and Amsterdam airports were affected by adverse weather conditions and ATC capacity. EN-ROUTE ATFM DELAY PER DELAY GROUP Reasons for en-route delays in July 213 EN-ROUTE EVENTS EN-ROUTE DISRUPTIONS EN-ROUTE ATC STAFFING 2.1% 3.4% 5.2 % En-route delays accounted for 73.1% of all ATFM delays. 37.3% of all ATFM delays were caused by en-route ATC capacity; most of the delays were recorded in Barcelona, Marseille, Warsaw, Nicosia and Brest ACCs. Nicosia ACC remained at the same level as the previous month, whilst delays in Marseille, Madrid and Vienna increased slightly. Brest ACC entered the top 1. Despite a significant improvement compared to June 213 (3.41 mins), Nicosia ACC continued to have the highest en-route delay per flight in July 213. The top 5 en-route delay locations generated 22.1% of the total ATFM (network) delay. YTD: The average en-route delay per flight in 213 to date is.55 min/flt, which is also below the corresponding guideline* value of.59 min/flt. and represents a recovery from the June situation. Average daily traffic Year-to-date daily flights >= 15 min en-route delay Since the beginning of the year, an average of 353 flights per day have been subjected to at least 15 mins of delay. The corresponding figure during the same period in 212 was 464 flights per day * NM s calculation that provides the guideline en-route delay (min) requirements to achieve the annual interim target (.6 min/flight). The top 5 Airport/TMA delay locations generated 19.6% of the total ATFM (network) delay since the beginning of the year. 5. DAILY EVOLUTION Average delay (min) per flight in July 213 AIRPORT ATC CAPACITY AIRPORT WEATHER AIRPORT INFRASTRUCTURE EN-ROUTE WEATHER EN-ROUTE EVENTS EN-ROUTE DISRUPTIONS EN-ROUTE ATC STAFFING EN-ROUTE ATC CAPACITY In July 213, there were 2 days with an average delay over 2 minutes per flight: 27 July: The network was affected by ATC capacity issues in Barcelona, Vienna, Marseille and Langen ACCs. Adverse weather conditions also generated delays in Maastricht, London, and Paris ACCs. Frequency problems in Bordeaux ACC also resulted in high delays. 28 July: Thunderstorms caused high delays in Karlsruhe, Paris, Zurich and Munich ACCs as well as Frankfurt, London Heathrow and Zurich airports. Marseille, Barcelona, London and Bordeaux ACCs recorded ATC capacity delays. NM Network Operations Report Analysis July

ALL AIR TRANSPORT DELAYS (Source: CODA) This section presents the all air transport delay situation as seen from the airlines by using the data collected by Central Office for Delay Analysis (CODA) from the airlines. Data coverage is 61% of the commercial flights in the ECAC region for June 213. ATFM delays reported by airlines may be lower than the NM calculated ATFM delays due to difference in methods: ATFM delays of NM are the (flight) planned delays ; the airlines report the actual experienced ATFM delay on departure. For instance, a flight with an ATFM delay may also have a handling delay absorbed within the ATFM delay. For the airline, a part of this delay is the ATFM delay and the rest is the handling delay. Paris CDG & Orly, Frankfurt and Munich airports experienced delays due to weather (thunderstorms). Industrial actions occurred in France (11-13 June), Greece (13 June) and Portugal (27 June). Rome Fiumicino (8 June) and London/Heathrow (29 June) suffered from aircraft incidents. Within all air transport delays, en-route ATFM delays were 1.1 min/flt in June 213. Primary delays counted for 56% (or 6.5 min/flt ) of which 1.1 min/flt is attributed to en-route ATFM delays, with reactionary delays representing a 44% share (5.1 min/flt). Avg departure delay/flight (min) Average departure delay per flight 212/ Further analysis of airline data shows that the average en-route ATFM delay was 1.1 min/flight. This was slightly lower than the NM reported average en-route ATFM delay of 1.4 min/flt. According to airline reports, primary delays counted for 56% (or 6.5 min/flt ) of which 1.1 min/flt is attributed to en-route ATFM delays, with reactionary delays representing a 44% share (5.1 min/flt). Flights with delays exceeding 15 minutes increased by.1 percentage points to 3.6% (split between 1. caused by airport arrival and 2.6% by en-route ATFM restrictions) and flights exceeding 3 minutes increased by.5 percentage points to 1.5% (split between.4% caused by airport arrival and 1.1% by en-route ATFM restrictions) in June 213. The percentage of flights delayed from all-causes (exceeding 15 minutes) increased by 2.2 percentage points to 18.9% and those (exceeding 3 minutes) by 1.7 percentage points to 9.2%. Wednesday 1 July Warszawa ACC - Technical problems (Flight Data Processing System) - 8,473 mins. Friday 12 July London/Heathrow - Capacity reduction following an aircraft incident - 9,27 mins. Thursday 18 July Warszawa ACC - Communications problem (back up radio failure) - 4,2 mins. Saturday 27 July Bordeaux ACC - Technical problems (frequency) - 1,393 mins. 9. NM ADDED VALUE 9.1 RRP DIRECT DELAY SAVINGS Average daily executed rerouting proposals 45 6 In July 213, NM proposed alternative routes to an average of 56 flights per day of which 26 were accepted.
