2 CATCHING YOUR BUS Riders should go to the nearest stop to catch a bus. If you are unsure about the bus's destination, ask the driver before you board, or call the Manatee CAT information line at for assistance. Have exact fare ready when boarding the hue. Drivers do not carry change. FLASH PASSES AND DISCOUNTS REAPING A SCHEDULE Weekday and Saturday schedules are the same. (Except Tripper which has no Saturday service) Find the bus route(s) to get to your destination. Then select the direction and time FLASH PASSES are available for students, seniors, and adults that allow unlimited rides monthly without asking for a transfer slip. 10-RIDE PUNCH PASSES are also available. Ask the driver for a transfer when you board the first bus. Give this transfer to CHRISTMAS DAY the bus operator upon boarding the second bus. Transfers must be used on the next connecting WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE bus. There is a limit of one transfer with payment of the fare. One additional transfer may be issued on your next bus route if necessary to complete your trip. Manatee CAT and SCAT riders may also transfer between bus systems. ANNOUNCE STOPS If you are visually impaired, or need help identifying your stop PLEASE INFORM THE DRIVER AS YOU ENTER All MCAT buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts to accommodate persons who cannot use the steps. If you have such an impairment or you are in a wheelchair and want to board an MCAT bus, come to the closest bus stop prior to the scheduled time of the bus arriving. Position your wheelchair so that it will be clear of the lift when extended and follow the bus driver's instructions. Back your wheelchair onto the lift, secure brakes, and grasp handrails. Once inside the bus, the driver will assist you with the wheelchair tie-downs and safety belts. Discuss your destination with the bus driver who will assist you when leaving the bus. THE BUS, so that the driver may announce your stop and insure your exit at the proper time. It is helpful to sit toward the front of the bus if you need assistance. 3
