2 MID ISLAND BUSINESS PROFILE Mid Island Air Service was founded by Louis Mancuso, Sr in 1946 at Deer Park Airport on Long Island. In the early 60 s, a satellite branch was opened at Brookhaven Airport where hundreds of veterans trained under the GI bill. In the mid 70 s, Deer Park Airport was closed and the operation was moved to LI MacArthur Airport. Mid Island is the leader in flight training and aircraft sales on Long Island. Students can train under FAA Part 141 for their Private, Instrument and Commercial Certificates, as well as under Part 61 for all certificates including Certified Flight Instructor Ratings. Mid Island trains students from Dowling College, Eastern Suffolk BOCES and NAFA (North American Flight Academy). We can provide the I-20 to qualified foreign students so they may train under an M-1 visa. INTRODUCTORY FLIGHT LESSONS We offer a variety of Introductory Flight Lessons for the person who is thinking of learning to fly for pleasure or professional reasons. An Introductory Flight Lesson is the place to start. Id required. First flight certificates issued at completion. 3 MID ISLAND FLIGHT SCHOOL You have the opportunity to fly for pleasure (a Sport Pilot or Private Certificate), or train to become a professional pilot. Let us help get you started and satisfy all your aviation desires. We train at Brookhaven Airport, which is uncontrolled and LI MacArthur Airport, a controlled, towered airport, so our students will have the experience under all flight and ATC conditions. We offer a variety of aircraft as well as Frasca and Full Motion Redbird flight simulators to enhance your training experience. Our FAA Certified Flight Instructors are available to meet your personal schedule to make your training experience pleasurable. Our course syllabus is laid out in an easy to follow sequence from the first lesson to preparation for the flight test. We are open 7 days a week, 362 days each year. 4 ALIEN FLIGHT TRAINING We welcome students from all around the globe. We can provide the I-20 to qualified students and walk you through the process to obtain your M-1. Once in the US, the student applies for TSA flight authorization and then can begin flight training. Any student who is not a US citizen must obtain TSA clearance prior to beginning their training for Private, Instrument and Multi Engine training. This includes Permanent Residents. AERO EXPERIENCES As a member of FSANA (Flight School Association of America) we are pleased to offer the following programs: zaero Camp One week day camps for students in grades Camps include a variety of activities from classroom topics, experiments, tours to showcase aviation careers, an aviation museum, and simulator and aircraft hands on flight experience. zaero Party For kids 6 and older. Have your party at the airport. Includes, aviation activities, hangar tour, games, cake and pizza. Optional simulator flight available. zaero Chapter This is a way to get our next generation of pilots interested in aviation. Once a month, students 12-18, meet at the airport and under our guidance run their own Aero Chapter. Guest lecturers provide interesting topics and share aviation experiences. zaero Experience Be a pilot for a day. This special, Mid Island Flight School, exclusive six hour course includes classroom topics, a simulator flight and tower tour. Our students are paired and one flies to another airport, logging approximately 35 minutes of flight time, we have lunch and then the second student flies the plane back to home base. 4

5 AIRCRAFT RENTALS Once you are licensed, you don t have to purchase a plane to continue going places. (Although, if that is your wish, we will help find the perfect airplane for your needs). You can rent the same planes that you learned to fly in. Whether you wish to rent for an hour for a local flight, or take a day trip for an exciting adventure, we have planes for your use. You can even rent for a week you ll feel like you own your own plane. Join our GFC (Gold Flying Club). For an annual fee, you can fly as much as you like and save $14/hour off all aircraft rentals. For the low fee of $2.50/flight hour, we include $100, liability insurance and full hull protection for our students and renters. We offer an IPC (Instrument Proficiency Course) two day course and we are approved for Malibu initial and recurrent training. We can make your Biennial Flight Review (BFR) a rewarding and new learning experience. We are affiliated with PALS (Patient Airlift Services) and have written and received FAA approval for a fuel reimbursement training program which we offer to PALS pilots as an online webinar. FAA SAFETY SEMINARS Once a month, on the second Saturday of each month, we offer a free FAA safety seminar to local pilots. These seminars are open to all and are well attended. 6 LINE SERVICES Our NATA Safety First training line technicians, provide corporate, business and private pilots and passengers with the same professional and personal service that has been the trademark of Mid Island for over 65 years. Our qualified line staff will provide aircraft Avgas and Jet A fueling, detailing and tiedown services for your aircraft. Whether you are based with us or are our transient guest, we welcome the opportunity to take care of you and your plane. AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE Mid Island is pleased to be recognized as a Cessna Single Engine Service Center at our ISP facility. Propeller-driven Cessnas and numerous other GA aircraft are supported through a worldwide network of over 350 service stations that operate with high standards of customer service. As the local expert in servicing Cessnas, each center meets a consistent standard of service requirements, including facilities, personnel, training, basic and special tools, parts and technical information. Our shop is staffed with FAA certified A & P mechanics and aircraft inspectors. We offer a complete line of aircraft parts for sale. Our retail shops are available for minor maintenance, oil changes, service bulletins compliance as well as annual inspections. AIRCRAFT CHARTER We offer an alternative to Jet charter with our approved Part 135 charter operation, New York Jet Charter, Inc. We use an economical Cessna 182 that provides service within a two hour radius of Long Island to provide a much needed local air taxi operation. 6

7 AIRCRAFT SALES & MANAGEMENT Our aircraft salesman and partner, Vince Basile, has been selling aircraft for over 40 years. He has matched piston, turbo prop and jet aircraft to the needs of our customers. If you are in the market for a new or used plane or an upgrade to an existing plane, give Vince a call. He can also put together a leaseback arrangement if you would like to purchase a plane and let us put it to work to give you income when you are not using the plane. CONCIERGE SERVICES If you are flying to ISP, whether you are in a 172 or Gulfstream Jet, we can assist with all your traveling needs. Our trained customer service representatives can book hotels, limos, rental cars for both pilots and their passengers. If you need catering, newspapers, ice, coffee, just let us know and we will make the arrangements for you. New York Jet (our corporate services division) is tops in customer service. PERSONAL LIMITATIONS CHECKLIST In the interest of safety, our president, Louis Mancuso, Jr has created the Personal Limitations Checklist (PLC) to insure that each student and pilot has set reasonable safety limits for wind, visibility and any other factors that may affect the operation of a safe flight. Once set, the student/renter pledges to follows their own limitations and not permit outside factors to influence a flight outside their safety limits. 7
