This is the 50th year that we have raised registered Angus cattle and also the 100th year of farming and ranching just north of Denton. Same family same place. Grandma Dolly still lives at the main building located just 1 mile from the original homestead and her yard looks as perfect now as it ever has. Both 50 and 100 years are hard to imagine and all we can say is thanks to you for always being here with us. Past, present, and future. Every year we say that this is the best set of bulls that we have ever raised this year come look at them and judge for yourself, we believe you will like what you see in terms of overall quality and consistency. We are a performance herd and therefore a maternal herd. It is hard to have one and not the other. You never see poor cows raise top end calves yet the good cows always bring in the big stout calves. Good cows provide performance! A little bit about the herd bulls: continues to set the bar for overall excellence. He will improve performance, fleshing ability, length, scrotal, fertility, and disposition better than any bull around. His females are the best cows you could ever hope for. Look through the catalog and see what they are doing. Connealy Black Granite 133 is the hottest bull in the breed right now. He is phenotypically a standout and stamps his calves with big tops and extra thickness. His epd numbers are nearly too good to believe but he backs them up with his ability to transmit extra muscle and power with calving ease and carcass. Thank you to Harrison Land and Livestock for letting us be a part of this bull! Hilltop True Grit is maybe the easiest fleshing calving ease bull in the breed. His first daughters are in production and have weaned their first calves with an average nursing ratio of 102. They are great young cows with perfect udders. Sons sell and 2 maternal brothers sell as lots 2 and 35. Y7 has sired a tremendous first set of calves. They are uniform and good from top to bottom. Trax s dam and grand dam are two of the best cows ever at Bobcat Angus. Trax is a powerful breeding bull and stamps his calves with depth, thickness, and big tops. Trax has perfect feet and a great disposition. Hilltop Santa Fe 0341 ads more power and performance to the Santa Fe cattle yet the females are still perfect uddered. Inspection of Cattle All cattle can be inspected at any time prior to the sale at Midland Bull Test Feedlot in Columbus, MT or the day before the sale at the Livestock Pavilion. Health All cattle are vaccinated with or for: 8-Way, Blackleg, IBR, PI3, BVD, treated for grubs. Fertility tested, scrotal measured and carcass ultrasound measured. Performance Data All bulls are on AHIR performance program. Final weights will be posted sale day. If you d like it sooner, let us know. First Year Breeding Guarantee The bull mortality and loss of use insurance which we offered in years past is no longer available. For this reason, we are now offering a first year breeding guarantee. We hope this breeding guarantee is a suitable replacement. All bulls selling for $2000 or more will be covered 50% by Hilltop Angus Ranch if they are injured during their first breeding season. Breeding season is defined as the 90-day period following the first turnout of the bulls. 50% of the value of the injured bull will be given as credit in a future sale or towards a replacement bull if one is available. Salvage value, if any, will be split equally between Hilltop Angus Ranch and the buyer. All injured bulls must be diagnosed by a veterinarian. Please notify us as soon as possible should injury occur and prior to the injured bull being sold for salvage.
