2 INTRODUCTION In this presentation we are going to talk about the Ancient Egypt. Egypt is in the middle of the dessert Sahara crossed by the Nile. The egyptians invented a lot of things including the pyramids and the mummification They were very good at so many things of economy and buildings.

3 THE ECONOMY Trading: Egyptians didn t have money, so they only traded through the Nile. Many people fished. But meat was more generally eaten. The collection: The products were controlled by the collectioner. The markets: They were generally food. There were also animals.

4 THE ECONOMY Crafts: Egyptians were very careful making objects. Jobs were transmitted from parents to their children. Iron: They started to use it at the end of the new empire era of the Egyptians. Bricks: Were made with mud and straw. Lathe: Egyptians used the lathe to make vessels. They made baskets.

Every year they held a party in honor of the god Amun. Offerings: Everyday the priests washed the god, dressed him up and adorned him with jewels. They also offered him a tray with food three times a day. Veneration: When they finished eating the faithfuls made their requests to the gods.

Anubis: He lead the souls to the kingdom of the dead. Isis: Wife of Osiris. Hap: It was the god of the Nile. Maat: Justice god.

The sarcophagus: The mommy was introduced in three coffins made of wood that fit in each other and they were inside a stone sarcophagus.

The eye is personified in the goddess Wadiet. It is also known as The Eye of Ra The key of life: It represents the concept of eternal life, which is the general meaning of the symbol. The Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop, or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest.

In 1922 the discover by Howard Carter and George Herber, 5th Earl of Carnarvon of Tutankhamun's nearly intact tomb received worldwide press coverage. Exhibits of artifacts from his tomb have toured the world. In February 2010, the results of DNA tests confirmed that he was the son of Akhenaten and Akhenaten's sister and wife, whose name is unknown but whose remains are positively identified as "The Younger Lady
