Day 2: Sunday 19 August 2018 Cape Town Welcome to South Africa, and to the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a welcome briefing from your Tour Director. Three Night Stay: Winchester Mansions. Day 3: Monday 20 August 2018 Cape Town (FB,L) Today explore the beautiful Cape Peninsula. Enjoy the spectacular views from the summit of Cape Point which looks out over the Cape of Good Hope, then visit Boulders Beach, home to the protected land based colony of African penguins. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Simons Town, where southern right whales can often be seen in the bay (seasonal). Day 4: Tuesday 21 August 2018 Cape Town (FB) Enjoy a city tour including a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting), a tour of the old colonial area finishing at the V&A Waterfront. Day 5: Wednesday 22 August 2018 Cape Town Knysna (FB) Travel through the mountains of the Western Cape, passing through Grabouw, famous for apple production and vineyards, then along the beautiful Garden Route to Knysna where your hotel is located on the waterfront overlooking Knysna lagoon. With uninterrupted views of the Karoo Plains and the Zuurberg Mountains, Kuzuko Lodge lies in a private concession to the north of Addo Elephant National Park, the third largest national park in South Africa. Return to the lodge for a buffet breakfast before some free time to relax and enjoy the facilities. In the early afternoon, enjoy a traditional African high tea before your afternoon game drive. Day 9: Sunday 26 August 2018 Port Elizabeth Durban (FB,D) This morning take advantage of a further game drive (extra expense booked on tour) or relax in the lovely surrounds of the Kuzuko Lodge and enjoy a later breakfast before checking out of your lodge. Leaving Addo, drive to Port Elizabeth for your flight to Durban. On arrival, enjoy an orientation tour of Durban, finishing at your hotel located in the lively Umhlanga waterfront area of Durban, where there is an included dinner in a local seafood restaurant. Day 10: Monday 27 August 2018 Drakensberg Cathedral Peak (FB,D) Travel north into the magnificent World Heritage listed Drakensberg Ranges through stunning mountain scenery before arriving at your hotel, perched on the slopes of the 3004 metre Cathedral Peak. Day 13: Thursday 30 August 2018 Swaziland Kruger National Park (FB,HD) After a leisurely morning, leave the tiny kingdom and return to South Africa. Continuing into the lowveld region, arrive at the world famous Kruger National Park, home to many hundreds of species, cats, antelope, as well as the Big Five. Drive by coach through the park to your hotel where you enjoy an outdoor boma highlight dinner (weather permitting) to taste some of the delights of Africa. Three Night Stay: Protea Hotel Kruger Gate. Day 14: Friday 31 August 2018 Kruger National Park (FB,L,HD) Start early this morning for your game drive in customised open safari vehicles.
