Day 4 - Tuesday: MARRAKESH/ KASBAH TELOUET / KASBAH AIT BENHADOU OUARZAZATE (220 km) Departure by 4WD to Ouarzazate via the mountains of the high Atlas passing through the Tich n Tichka pass at an altitude of 2260 m, via Telouet, an absolutely stunning scenery. Visit of the Kasbah of Telouet, former residence of the Glaoui family, one of the most influential of this region. Optional Lunch, and visit of Kasbah Ait Benhadou. This kasbah is the most famous in Morocco and has served as setting for many famous movies. Day 5 - Wednesday: OUARZAZATE / TINEGHIR /ERFOUD/ MERZOUGA (400 km) After Breakfast, road to Boumalne and EL Kelâa via the road of the thousand Kasbahs, passing by Skoura. On the way, we pass the beautiful kasbah of Amerhidel, visit of Canyon Dades and continuation to Tinghir. Tinghir is famous for its magnificent Todra canyons whose rocks reach an altitude of 250 meters. Excursion to the canyons and possibility for a short hike. (Optional) Lunch at a restaurant situated at the foot of the canyons. Continuation to the track road continues till Erfoud, then Merzouga. From Agdz to Zagora is dotted with palm groves and numerous Kasbahs, most of them falling in ruins, but some are still worth a visit. Back to Essaouira you will visit a women Argan Oil cooperative, made with the fruit of that Argan tree which grows nowhere else than on the West coast of Morocco. 26 Fez the Medieval 04Days /03Nights FM1621 Day 1: Fez - Arrival Arrival at the airport of Fez. Welcoming, assistance and transfer to your hotel. Day 2: Fez Sefrou - Fez Morning will be devoted to the sightseeing of Fez, the oldest cultural and spiritual imperial city of Morocco, which was founded at the end of the 8th Century by Moulay Idriss II. The visit will include the Medieval Medina, the Medersas, the El Qaraouiyyin Mosque (external), and the sumptuous Nejjarine fountain. During your visit, you will have the chance to discover a coranic school and to be invited to a cup of tea by a local family. After lunch in a Riad, you will explore Sefrou in the suburbs of Fez and its jewish quarter, as well as the waterfalls (seasonal). Sefrou is an important agricultural site where the Cherry Festival is celebrated every year in June. Back to Fez, overnight at your hotel. Day 3: Fez Ifrane Azrou Fez Breakfast and departure to Ifrane. After the breakfast, you will head to the city of Ifrane, which is about 1 h 25 min driving away (94,6 km). On the way, you will be crossing the fertile country fields, and enjoy the landscapes of Fez/Boulemane s region. On the way, the Atlas Mountains offer a beautiful view, especially when they are covered with snow. You will have a stop at the town of Imouzzer, which is known for its apple festival taking place in September. Continuation to Ifrane and Azrou and to the National park, the largest Cedar forest of Morocco, where you can find numerous lakes, water sources and a variety of birds, monkeys and fishes.
