In the Berber language, Ouzoud means the act of grinding grain and at the top of the falls there are a dozen small, old mills that are still in use to this day. We will follow the path of Matisse and explore the fascinating city of Tangiers on foot, strolling down the mysterious winding streets, stopping at numerous street gates, corners, and sites that Matisse liked to paint. We will visit the souks boarded with shops, stopping to admire the beautiful handicrafts and barter for that essential souvenir, passing by the fruits, vegetables and flowers market where colours, perfumes and flavours revive our senses. We will end our tour by an invitation to Savour a mint tea ceremony and refreshment in the terrace of one of the nicest homes in Tangier. 29 Tour to Asilah A DELIGHTFUL SEASIDE Starts: 09:30 Duration: 3 hours Languages: English, German, French and Spanish. One of the most beautiful and well-preserved old cities in Morocco. The fortified town s ramparts and gateworks are still fully intact hundreds of years after they were first built. To the south of Tangier, on the Atlantic coast, Asilah, is a delightful seaside resort renowned for its old town, and calm white medina surrounded by Portuguese ramparts dating from the 15th century. Following pick-up, we ll drive to Asilah and start the city tour (sightseeing + explanations). There, we ll visit the outside of Raissouli Palace (photos-stop + explanations). Later we ll head visit the Medina & Souks (sightseeing + explanations + free time) and we ll have a drink at Al Khaima Hotel (1 mineral water or 1 soft drink + Moroccan pastries).
