Artisan workshops in the medina are as active today as 100 years ago and contribute to the city s industrial economy. Trades such as metal and leather working, ceramics, silk, tapestries, and sculpting are still practiced in these workshops. Original ramparts still protect the ancient city and its 9,000 passageways and narrow streets. DAY 4 FES > RABAT Depart Fes this morning and head for Rabat where you will overnight. This afternoon visit the historical Mohamed V Mausoleum before an evening spent at leisure. DAY 5 RABAT > MARRAKECH Today you are transferred to Marrakech. On arrival, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. DAY 6 MARRAKECH Visit beautiful Koutoubia Minaret and Mosque, the Tombs of Saadian, Menara Gardens, Bahia Palace and the Jemaa el Fna Square. The sheer number of shops in the souk is overwhelming, sometimes you will see 100 of them within 100 metres. Every section of the souk has its own specialty, with alleys devoted to everything from spices and ironwork to the ingredients necessary for casting magic spells! 6 EGYPT Pyramids of Giza EGYPTIAN SAMPLER 9 DAYS The perfect introduction to Egypt, the Sampler follows the Nile from the Pyramids, Sphinx and Museum in Cairo to Aswan and Luxor. From the pretty town of Aswan overlooking the river, join a Nile cruise to the extraordinary temples of Philae, Kom Ombo and Edfu before exploring the Valley of the Kings and Queens. If you wish, you can add the massive temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari at Abu Simbel. DAY 1 CAIRO You will be met and transferred to your hotel. DAY 1 TEL AVIV You will be met and transferred to your hotel. DAY 2 TEL AVIV > THE COASTAL PLAIN Enjoy a walking tour in the picturesque alleys of old Jaffa (Joppa). You ll visit a fantastic flea market where an eclectic mix of items and tasty treats await you. Drive to Caesarea, and visit the Roman Theatre and the Crusader Fortress with its unique dry moat. Then to the port city of Haifa to view the magnificent Baha i gardens from atop Mount Carmel. Continue to Nazareth where you will visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St Joseph. Sample some Kanafeh, an oriental sweet made with melted cheese, a specialty in Nazareth. DAY 3 COASTAL PLAIN > SEA OF GALILEE Visit Capernaum, an ancient fishing village and see the synagogue and the recent excavations of the House of St. Peter. Continue onto Tabgha and ascend to the top of the Mount of Beatitudes, where you can relive the Sermon on the Mount. Visit a Galilee winery to try great wine and homemade cheese. In the evening, head to a local Galilean family for a wonderful cooking workshop and later enjoy the dinner you helped prepare with the local family. DAY 4 SEA OF GALILEE > JORDAN VALLEY Stop at Gesher for a baking workshop at the historic Geshet Oven. The legend of Bread is a marvellous story about a brick oven that has survived since 1924 and has been lovingly renovated. Today, visitors are able to bake delicious amazing focaccia bread. Visit Belvoir Castle, a crusader fort located on the strategic Jordan River. DAY 5 JERUSALEM OLD CITY Start the tour from atop of the Old City roof tops with a view of the four quarters. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and enter the Old City through one of its famous gates. Explore the restored Jewish Quarter and visit the Cardo, an ancient Roman marketplace where you can still shop today. Stop at the Western Wall, built some 2000 years ago. It is now the most holy of all Jewish sites. Continue on to walk the Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa, finishing at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. DAY 6 JERUSALEM NEW CITY Drive by the Israeli Parliament The Knesset. Then visit the Israel Museum and see the famous Dead Seas Scrolls at the Shrine of the Book. Head to Machane Yehuda for a tour of the market. If midweek, then head to the Artists Colony for a special dinner at Eucalyptus, a unique restaurant near the old city. You will have the chance to enjoy biblical food prepared by the great chef Moshe Basson. 17 TERMS AND CONDITIONS Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they incorporate the basis upon which bookings are accepted by World Journeys Limited ( World Journeys, we or us ). Brochure Validity This brochure is valid from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017 except where noted. While World Journeys have exercised reasonable care and skill to ensure that the contents of this brochure are correct, accurate and up-to-date at the time of printing, please note that: the contents of this brochure are based on information supplied to us by third party suppliers and we cannot be expected to have personal knowledge of the current conditions of accommodation, facilities and services provided by each supplier; facilities and/or services may change after the date of printing Confirmation of Services Your acceptance of a quotation or your booking request does not guarantee actual availability of the requested flights, tours, accommodation or services until such time as you receive a confirmation invoice from World Journeys. Deposits and Final Payments A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total invoice is required within 7 days of confirmation of arrangements. If the deposit is not received by this time we reserve the right to cancel all arrangements without notification. Some tours and cruises require higher deposits and details of such will be advised at time of reservation. Receipt of deposit will be taken as an understanding by us that you have checked your confi rmed arrangements and have read and agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this brochure. Final payment is due 60 days before departure or by the payment deadline stated on the final invoice whichever is the earliest. If the final payment is not received by the company by the due date we reserve the right to cancel all arrangements without notification. Bookings made within 60 days of departure will only be processed if we hold full payment. We do not accept bookings for travel within 5 days of departure. PLEASE NOTE: Once arrangements are paid in full the price is set and no further communication over pricing will be entered into. Amendments If you wish to alter your arrangements after your booking is confirmed you must notify us in writing. We will endeavour to make the amendments you require but due to the additional administrative costs we will charge you $100 per amendment plus any supplier charges. Amendments within 45 days of departure are subject to full cancellation fees. Cancellation and Refunds Cancelled bookings will incur charges. These charges can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking regardless of whether travel has commenced. As a minimum, our cancellation charges are 20% of the total booking value, plus any applicable supplier fees or penalties. The amount of each supplier s cancellation fees or penalties is beyond our control and payment is solely your responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, no refund is available for cancellations after the holiday package has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised. Requests for refunds must be received no later than 30 days after the last service booked with World Journeys. Where air tickets are purchased from World Journeys, cancellation fees will be applied by the airline and refunds, if any, will not be made until the airline has refunded World Journeys. Prices, Taxes and Currency Fluctuations World Journeys guarantees the price of your arrangements once you have paid us in full. Prices in this brochure are based on costs and exchange rates as at 1 October 2016 should these change it may be necessary to reprice your holiday package. Please check with World Journeys before placing your reservation to ascertain if there have been any pricing changes. The price quoted for a package will be a total figure and no breakdown of component costs can be provided. Taxes or levies imposed by government bodies or their agencies are beyond our control. Prices shown are for payment by cash, cheque or debit card only. Credit Card Transactions We accept certain credit cards by special arrangement contact World Journeys for more details. A service fee will apply. If you pay by credit card and a service provider is unable to provide the services which we have contracted for you, you agree that your remedy lies against that provider and not World Journeys. In the event that payment has been made to World Journeys by credit card, you agree that you will not seek to dispute the World Journeys charge with your credit card company. Not Included in Tour Cost Airfares (unless specified), airport taxes, ticketable taxes and surcharges, visas, insurance, excess baggage and items of a personal nature. Holiday Variation If unforeseen circumstances beyond our control require us to make necessary changes to your holiday we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule departures and itineraries. When it is necessary to change a hotel the company reserves the right to substitute accommodation of at least a similar standard.
