2 Sierra, 18 cystic fibrosis I wish to have a horse WHAT: The Trailblaze Challenge is a one-day endurance event that gives participants the opportunity to hike a 23.7 mile journey along the Colorado Trail. Participants will enjoy the picturesque mountains of Pike National Forest while challenging themselves physically and raising vital funds to grant the wishes of Colorado children with critical illnesses. Included in the hike experience: Specialized training program including a workout calendar and bi-weekly group hikes Training Clinics like Hiking: Boots, Socks and Other Trail Essentials, Hydration and Nutrition, and Cross Training Support and coaching from experienced Hike Leaders and Make-A-Wish Staff Hotel Accommodations on hike weekend (3-days/2-nights) Trailblaze Challenge duo-dry shirt for hike weekend Transportation to and from the trail on Hike Day Friday night pasta party to carb load before the big day Trail support at multiple locations throughout your journey including hydration, snacks, first aid and encouragement Saturday evening post-hike celebration to share trail stories Sunday post-hike recognition breakfast before heading home WHEN: August 10-12, 2018 (Hike on Saturday, August 11 th ) WHERE: Colorado Trail, Segment 2 & 3, Pike National Forest Sheraton Denver Tech Center 7007 S Clinton St Greenwood Village, CO WHO: Whether you are a hike enthusiast or a Make-A-Wish supporter, this hike is open to anyone. This is a hike, not a race, and caters to all levels from novice to advanced outdoor enthusiast. All hikers must be 18 years of age or older. ABOUT THE COLORADO TRAIL: The Colorado Trail runs for 486 miles from Denver to Durango. Its highest point is 13,271 feet above sea level, and most of the trail is above 10,000 feet. Despite its high elevation, the trail often dips below the alpine timberline to provide refuge from the exposed, storm-prone regions above. The Colorado Trail was built and is currently maintained by the non-profit Colorado Trail Foundation and the United States Forest Service.

MEET WISH KID KOLTON - I WISH TO HAVE A CAMPER! Kolton loves nothing more than a surprise visit from his extended family. He has family all over the country, from Virginia to California, and even some in Canada! Due to his condition, it is extremely dangerous for Kolton to travel on an airplane, so he hasn t had the opportunity to visit his family or see other parts of the country. Kolton also has a lot of medical equipment that makes traveling on an airplane nearly impossible. When it came time to decide on a wish, it was clear that a wish to have a camper would enhance his life for many years to come as it would allow him to visit his family and amazing sites all over the country. The Make-A-Wish team immediately got to work on Kolton s camper, making sure that it had everything he needed, including space for all of his medical equipment and all of the goodies for yummy s mores! Kolton s wish day was magical, not just for him, but for his entire family. His mom said that the memories and relationships they will be able to make with their loved ones is something very intangible, completely priceless.
